Ok so this place is in an big industrial Park with lots of parking which is great! They got some very nice seating in and out. Very cool decorations with a Dia De Los Muertos theme (name says it all).
On to the food! They have ELOTE! Mexican Street corn and it’s fantastic! I should’ve ordered two of them. I wanted to get the Pork Tamale but they were out – sad face. They make the tamales in house so they run out, keep that in mind. I had the steak and the pork tacos. The steak tacos were ok, The Pastor (Pork) Taco was delicious.
Overall this is a great Mexican restaurant, service was on point and friendly. Can’t wait to come back and try the tamales and MAS ELOTE!

I ate here for the first, but certainly not the last, time on Friday. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful and the decor was fun and interesting to look at too. The food was outstanding and an amazing value for the money. We had a pitcher of the house margaritas; the guacamole, queso, salsa appetizer; the spicy pork burrito; and the chipotle chicken burrito. We loved every bite! We will definitely be back soon!!
Cheap eats · Great food · Stylish interior · Hip atmosphere

It’s all good!
I’ve been coming here with family and friends for a couple of years now it seems. I travel to Mexico fairly often with work and my tastes have evolved from Tex-Mex to authentic Mexican over that time. I love the Bone Garden for it’s excellent food, great atmosphere, good margaritas and fair prices. The menu is not extensive, but it’s all good. It’s truly a hidden gem!
Cheers!

We finally made it to the Bone Garden Cantina!! This place is hard to find but worth the effort. Trust your GPS. BGC has a unique menu that I have seen in very few Mexican restaurants. My wife and I ordered the Birria Brisket Enchiladas. The brisket was tender and slightly smokey tasting. The taste was intensified by the tomatillo sauce which adds a tangy twist to the enchiladas. The house margarita was smooth and not overly sweet. The service was excellent. Bone Garden Cantina is on my go to again list in Atlanta now.

Went here today specifically for the Saturday Special- Steak Quesadilla. It didn’t disappoint. It was, as always, tender and flavorful. The sangria was amazing and potent. I can tell they soak the fruit in Brandy for quite a while. The esquites was delicious, although I should have mixed it up better. I added hot sauce to spice it up. The queso and chorizo was also amazing! The chips that went with the queso we’re perfect. Not too thin or thick and more importantly, FRESH! Courtney was our waitress. She was very accommodating and brought me a hot sauce to try without me when asking. BTW, try it. It’s a habanero sauce and although it has spice, I would say not overwhelming so. The habanero salsa however will light your mouth/ face on fire as well as ancestors for time to come

The decor definitely sets this place apart – and the outdoor patio seating area is my favorite place to dine here. I used to work nearby so I usually dined here at least one a week, but I am no longer as close so don’t get there as often but still go when I can. I almost always start with The Three Amigos – love the guac and queso. I honestly can’t think of anything I have tried here that I didn’t like, and I am pretty sure I sampled everything from the menu at least once. But my favorites include: the tinga de pollo and carne adobo tacos, the adobo chicken quesadillas, the birria brisket enchiladas and the dos queso enchiladas, the holy chorizo empanadas and the chipotle chicken burrito. #LetsGuide Tip: Ask to add fresh avocado slices to any dish. So good. Or if you like jalapenos – you can ask for fresh diced jalapenos.

This place is a little hard to find but well worth the effort. You have to go all the way around to the back of the business park, but there was plenty of easy parking once we found it. Tamales were excellent and so was the spicy pork burrito, adding the fire grilled jalapenos gave it a nice kick. Reasonably priced food and drinks. The service was great and all the staff recommendations were spot on. I will be back next time I am in Atlanta.

This is Atlanta’s only 18 & up Mexican restaurant (that I know of…). If you’ve been to The Vortex then you know the owner’s unique take on food niches. They serve authentic Mexican dishes and offer everything from tamales to tacos to enchiladas, soups & more. No matter what I order, I always opt for the Esquite – a side of corn with mayo and chili pepper. The restaurant is decorated in Dia de Muertos themed artwork and sculptures that are really creative & add culture (just like The Vortex).
The drinks are strong and their margs have a good variety of flavor options. You can find margs with agave and without sour mix. Classically made. A lot of other good options for drinks. A must try for sure!
Its normally pretty crowded here and the service can be slow during high volume, naturally, but the environment makes up for it 100% in my opinion. You wont be disappointed!

Loved the decor and atmosphere (music included). It’s like a little 5 points scene (decor delight, some vulgarity, and nice and uniquely designed). I ordered and enjoyed the chicken enchiladas (pipian mole) and a pomegranate margarita. We also had the 3 amigos (queso, guac, and salsa) and they will refill chips if you ask. They would not seat us without the entire party which we found a tad extreme to not seat 5 out of 6 people and let us start ordering. However, our waiter was awesome and everyone enjoyed their meals and service.

Wonderful food, wonderful drinks, great service.
Came here with my boyfriend. We got the Pipián Mole Enchiladas, Tinga de Pollo Tacos, Beef Brisket Quesadillas, and the Shrimp Ceviche. For drinks, we got Tranquilo, Hot ‘Lanta, Smoked Pear, and a few shots of Suerte Reposado Tequila.
The enchiladas were delightful, the Tinga de pollo was everything that I could ever want from the dish, brisket was also delightful (secondhand, didn’t try it), and the ceviche lived up to what I like in my ceviche (light and fresh with flavors of salsa and seafood).
The Tranquilo was light and refreshing, with a distinct flavor of tequila.
Hot ‘Lanta was distinctly smoky, but in a delicious way.
Smoked Pear was tasty (again, didn’t try, so that’s secondhand)
The Suerte Reposado was everything I wanted from a shot of tequila. It was so smooth (with slight fruity notes?), but it had bite that I love in my tequila. Didn’t need the lime chaser at all. I’m a wimpy shot taker usually, but this shot made me sit and savor it for about 20 seconds.
The service was great. Very friendly, ready with recommendations, and all the servers were equally ready to assist if you looked like you needed help. The only weak point was that our server didn’t check in as often as we would have liked. Which is minor, so we didn’t really care.
Overall, I will definitely be back again. Just need to have a reason to take a trip Atlanta again first.
98% would recommend.

Everything was excellent here. I got the tacos, and my fiancée got the spicy pork buritto. I got three different tacos, a pineapple and pork Taco that was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted, a steak taco that was excellent, and a pork belly taco, I wasn’t crazy about the pork belly but that was just my personal taste, I knew I might not like it I just wanted to try something new. My fiancee’s burrito was also amazing. It was very spicy but not too spicy. The thing I can’t recommend enough though is the drink I ordered, a spicy chili margarita. It was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and definitely the best margarita. Over all I definitely recommend this place. It was very busy so there might be a wait and service might be some what slow but it was easily worth the wait.

This place gets crowded for a reason (but seriously do show up early, the waits are nuts)! I wish that there were more vegetarian options, but what they have is good. Ambiance is awesome, though if you’re worried about seeing a stray boob on the art then this probably isn’t your sort of restaurant anyways. Good specialty cocktails, plenty of parking…. Generally good wait staff (only one long wait for a drink that I can remember from the many times I’ve gone). If you like Mexican food, you should try this place out.

Love the Bone Garden. Everyday is Dia de los Muertas at the Garden. Traditional taco truck style food, great cocktails in a cool eclectic setting.
They run daily specials, but I love to grab a couple of tacos and some Elote (grilled on the cob with mayo, queso fresco & chili powder). Tacos run $3-4, so grab a couple different ones to try. I like Carné Adobo (grilled steak) & Chile Picante ( spicy chicken).
Top it off with a refreshing Paloma and you’re all set.
Great waitstaff and nice patio.

I have been wanting to check out this place for awhile….just happened to go on the day of the dead celebration. The wait was about an hour but we went to the bar and had margaritas while we waited. I had the pomegranate margarita. It was soooo good. We had chips and salsa at the table and they were also quite tasty!
We ordered tacos (and more margaritas!) when we sat at our table. I had the carne adobo, chicharrones, and goat tacos. They were DELICIOUS. Flavorful and the tacos were full of meat. I also tried the Mexican corn and enjoyed that as well. I can not wait to go back for date night!!

OVERALL–A
FOOD–A
Most items are a la carte. Fresh Mex at its finest. Being from Texas, it’s hard to find a place in Atlanta that scratches my undying itch for Mexican food. While Bone Garden is more California-style Mexican food/authentic than Tex Mex, it’s soothes the burning desire for some inexpensive south-of-the-border staples. One of my favorite places to eat in the city.
Recommendations:
Pozole Verde
Cantina Margarita (fresh lime, no fake sugar or syrupy mixes, tart and refreshing)
Esquite (Mexicorn NOT on the cob; I could eat this every day)
Betebel Salad (beets, greens, pumpkin seeds, light, flavorful dressing)
Shrimp Enchilada (eat as soon as it’s served so it doesn’t get cold)
Chicken Tacos (there are usually 2 different ones–a habanero and a Chile de Arbol–both delicious and spicy!!! Habanero is more fresh tasting, Chile de arbol has a smoky flavor)
SERVICE–A
Cool, kind staff with a laid-back tone
ATMOSPHERE–A
Day of the Dead-inspired original art abounds. I can’t stop looking around, and I’ve been there a lot and am familiar with everything. It’s enticing to see again and again. Causal and hip with a patio if you like your margaritas al fresco

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the USA and I have eaten everywhere. I like the goat taco as you can’t find that very often. The decor makes it a lot of fun just to hang out. Only downside is that it can be kind of loud inside.

Wow, wow. First let me say the food was good it took me back to California. That is authentic the Mexican food was. Thank you Sara (not sure how you spell your name) for the recommendations and the awesome service.
The atmosphere was decorated as Day of the Dead.
I had tamarindo margarita. The flavors of the drink was spot on.
Food – Red Goat Soup it tasted just like my ex made. Tomatillo Tamale, I feel in love with the tamale. The spices were perfect. Shrimp Verde taco pack a punch. Yum yum.
The only downside was the lengua taco, it lack the depth of flavor is the rest of the food.
I definitely will be back. I thinking of picking up some tamales to take home with me.
Keep up the great work.

They have a long wait but the outside area is very nice, especially when the weather is good! We always have an awesome experience here. The margaritas are to die for! This isn’t really a traditional Mexican restaurant, but my friends from Texas love it… and that says a lot!! They do have your traditional items, they just added a modern twist.

Okay, who doesn’t really love tacos? I could eat them all the time. With that said, I’ve been wanting to go to Bone Garden since I moved to Atlanta.
Lengua tacos are my absolute favorite, I order them anytime I see them on a menu. Bone Garden’s definitely held their own to my BuHi favorites. The corn tortillas weren’t soggy and didn’t fall apart while I was eating, plus their house habanero hot sauce adds tons of flavor without being overly spicy. Ceviche and chips with queso were both great starters. I was impressed with the freshness of the ceviche as well. My boyfriend ordered the brisket quesadilla and said it was great but would order extra cheese next time.
Looking forward coming back!
