The administration, physicians, and employees of the University of South Alabama Children’s & Women’s Hospital are devoted to providing hope, healing, and the very best health care possible for children and women. USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital is among a handful of freestanding hospitals in the U.S. dedicated specifically to the health needs of children & women.

Established in 1983 as part of the USA Medical Center, the Children’s & Women’s hospital is a member of the University of South Alabama Health System. After undergoing construction and renovation in 1997, the newly named University of South Alabama Children’s & Women’s Hospital is one of five freestanding hospitals in the United States dedicated specifically to the health care needs of infants, children, and women.

The USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital is a proud member of the Children’s Miracle Network which seeks to create miracles by funding medical care, research, and education that saves and improves the lives of more than 17 million children each year through the donations of countless individuals, organizations, and media partners. Established in 1983, the Children’s Miracle Network has raised more than 3.4 billion dollars in support of over 170 children’s hospitals.
