UAB Medicine Urgent Care offers convenient access to both UAB Medicine physicians and Advanced Practice Providers when you need to see a provider quickly for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. We offer walk-in appointments seven days a week, with lab and x-ray services available onsite. Your diagnosis and treatment are tracked in their electronic medical record, which allows other UAB Medicine providers to be updated immediately regarding your care.

When you need to see a provider now, but it’s not an emergency, choose UAB Medicine Urgent Care. UAB Medicine Urgent Care treats those 18 years of age or older for non-emergency medical conditions. UAB Medicine accepts most insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card and anticipate providing your co-pay at the time of your visit. I would like to give a shot out to Kristie (I think), the medical assistant and the CRNP, Kim, who took care of me last night. They were so sweet and compassionate. I really felt like I was being well taken care of. When you are not feeling your best, having people who really take their job seriously and treat you like a person vs a number is so important.

I was out of town and literally on my way to the airport in pain. Went to UAB, they were so nice, accommodating, and cognizant of my flight time. I was in and out thanks to the team and thanks to the NP who saw me and quickly prescribed the right antibiotics to get me started on recovering.

I went in not feeling well with my asthma and I was coughing extremely bad. Tested negative for flu and everything else. My asthma was just flared up so bad. The front desk receptionist guy was very nice and all the staff was really nice as well. Saw Dr. Andrew Allen and he was on point and listened to me .Dr. Allen treated me with respect he knew just what to do. He prescribed me all the meds I needed. I Enjoy this Urgent Care UrgentCcare Everytime I do have to go
