Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons was formed in 1996 through the merger of two of Montgomery’s prominent orthopaedic medical specialty groups: Orthopaedic Associates and Montgomery Orthopaedic Surgeons. We have provided more than 40 years of continuous service to the Montgomery area through a group of physicians with more than 100 years of collective experience in orthopaedic surgery.

I observed Chris (Dr Howell’s PA) perform a knee injection and he has the BEST and most comforting “bedside manner” I’ve seen in decades or possibly ever. Very confident but not arrogant or pushy, explained step by step what was happening to comfort the patient. Cannot speak highly enough of him.

I’ve been working with southern othropedic surgeon since May. Their team has been stellar, guiding me through knee damage. Providing great assessments and treatments along the way while I was trying to figure out if I needed surgery or not. The Doctors stayed with me, giving me access to different treatments and assessment options to help me identify that I would need surgery in the end. It was amazing that I would have the same doctor perform my knee surgery giving me comfort, having the team I started with and now at this point has been a relief, no mysteries if the doctor may have missed something. Im now currently in recovery, and I’m able to utilize their services because of all the previous experience Ive had with them. Top notch!

From the reception area to the treatment area, staff very friendly,helpful and efficient. I was able to schedule several dates in advance in the reception area. Therapy staff professional, thorough, explained all actions taken, provided insight into the overall process, and provided at home exercises to perform in between appointments. I have confidence in the staff.
