One of my favorites. The remodeled at some point and it doesn’t detract from the awesome food.

Really small space with limited seating, but the food is good. Grits and greens with pulled pork, the sweet tea fried chicken sandwich and the burgers are always tasty.

The food was some of the best I’ve ever had and the white sauce was to die for!

Pulled pork baked potato enough to feed two! Soooo delicious! This place is a must go to spot in Birmingham!

We went to Perry’s for the first time for lunch today. The chicken dish was good but I think a side of the sauce would have been nice. The carrots that came with it were excellent. The pork chop was great, excellent flavor. One guest ordered it, the other 3 had a portion and it was still plenty. My salad, greens, pears and pecans, was good but the added shrimp (2) were just okay. Service was excellent. My major issue, which I refrained from commenting on while there, was the handicapped parking, it is in the back and back side of the restaurant. I guess they want to encourage valet parking but we have a ramped van for my husband’s wheelchair so it is easier for us to park on our own. Since he is in a power chair it is not an issue to ‘roll’ to the entrance but if you need crutches or have a difficulty walking it seems odd to stick the handicapped parking in the back. I must admit I am passionate about handicapped accessibility but it is a daily concern for us and it does reflect how I feel about various establishments. So 4 1/2 stars, minus a 1/2 star for parking, almost a whole star.

I visited here 3 years ago and I came back through on my way back home from vacation. Still good as it was 3 years ago. Tender pulled pork complemented with beans and coleslaw. They also have their own sauce which is really good. The restaurant is small but it’s not too hard to see as it sits in a shopping area. Quick service from ordering to getting it. Nice and friendly staff. I’ll be back next time I’m coming through.
