Excellent, from beginning to end. As a former patient of Dr. McWhorter, returning to see him after many years. I was, as always extremely pleased with the care, support and information given and steps taken to make sure that you feel like you have been addressed and you are being taken care of. From the staff at his office, whether it be on the phone or directly through lab work, they are helpful courteous and pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately today that isn’t seen much in the health industry. With ever changing issues that we are now seeing that have never been part of society, and trying to learn what you are going through by research on your own it is great to have a group that “cares to care” today and how curious they are to help whatever your situation may be. Today it seems that there are less doctors willing to take this route, and it can be so many different things, but great to have someone helping you move in a positive, healthy direction and I believe that today it’s a lost art for Doctor’s who seem to pre diagnose your ailment before you finish your symptoms, but I am so appreciative that there are still doctors in the medical field that show that you can actually be heard, and it’s nice when someone listens and works to make sure they understand what you are looking to overcome and they have a possible path for you to recover and gain a healthy lifestyle.

My husband had two strokes last year and was left with paralysis on his left side along with speech and cognitive issues. We were told by several doctors that because of the severe pain he was having in his shoulder he would not be able to move his left arm. We were sent home from rehab with many questions and a lot of doubt. Fortunately for us, we were already patients of Dr Ryan McWhorter, who gave us our only hope. There were times, almost weekly, where he had medical issues and each time Dr McWhorter and his staff were only a phone call or office visit away. Each time there was an adjustment to his meds or supplements the staff was on top of the situation. Doc also ordered 10 Pass ozone treatments, IASIS, and ozone injections for the shoulder. Upon Doc’s recommendation we found a neuro movement specialist who assisted with nontraditional physical therapy. Although my husband does not have full use of his left arm he is able to move it, can walk with a walker and continues to improve both physically and cognitively. At this time last year when there was no one to turn to we were blessed to have Alabama Functional Medicine on our side. Our family is so very grateful to Dr McWhorter and his staff.

Dr. McWhorter and his staff have been great since my very first visit years ago! I started seeing him due to the bad menopausal symptoms I was suffering from, and with his guidance and treatment plan, I feel better than ever! I also buy all my supplements from them. They are the best at what they do!
