River Region Dermatology and Laser is Dr. Porcia Love’s new Dermatology practice providing the most comprehensive services in skin care in Central Alabama. This practice is dedicated to consistently providing high patient satisfaction by rendering excellent service, quality medical care, and cutting edge technology. We take pride in taking attentive exceptional care of you and your family. Our practice provides services in Medical Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology, Laser Surgery.

Dr. Love’s specialty interests include acne, cosmetic dermatology, melasma, laser surgery, skin cancer prevention and treatment, and skin of color. She has authored a number of peer-reviewed journal articles in dermatology and is the coeditor of the Springer textbook for Dermatologists, Clinical Cases in Skin of Color. She is a frequent contributor in the Montgomery Advertiser and WSFA on various skin topics.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Skin of Color Society, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She also serves on the University of Alabama’s Community Affairs Board of Advisors, the Leadership Advisory Board of the American Cancer Society, Leadership Montgomery, and Medical Outreach Ministries.

I LOVE Rachel!! She keeps me laughing and ALWAYS takes care of me. Seeing her once a month isn’t enough. I definitely recommend her if interested in laser and/or facials. Vanessa is really sweet and helpful with making and rescheduling appointments. It’s nice to be greeted and have a good experience with a genuinely sweet and fun staff! Rachel and Jo have my face looking and feeling so much better.
