Rachel Petersen, M.D., FACOG, located in Huntsville, AL, seeks to provide the highest level of care through our highly skilled health care professionals and state of the art technologies. In addition to offering a full range of obstetrics and gynecology services, board certified physician Rachel Petersen, M.D., FACOG is specially trained in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, such as da Vinci Surgery.

Dr. Rachel Rockman Petersen completed her undergraduate work at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She then attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. After medical school Dr. Petersen went on to serve her country in the United States Air Force where she completed her residency training at Keesler Air Forced Base and served for eight years on active duty.

Dr. Petersen is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of OBGYN. She takes a special interest in high risk obstetrics and pediatric/adolescent gynecology. She is actively licensed to practice medicine in Alabama, Louisiana, and Florida and is a member in good standing of the American Medical Association. Dr. Petersen has full credentials to practice OB/GYN at both Huntsville Hospital and Crestwood Medical Center.
