Dr. Schnitzer specializes in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and is Board Certified. Dr. Schnitzer attended medical school at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Schnitzer established his own practice, Mobile Physical Medicine and Wellness, in 2011. His practice focuses on non-surgical treatment of neck, back and other spine and neuromuscular disorders, migraine headaches including Botox injections, electrodiagnosis, evaluation of workers’ compensation injuries and non-invasive pain management.

He completed internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then worked several years in the Emergency Department at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York. His career interests then broadened, and he subsequently chose to pursue a second residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation which he completed at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. After completing his residency in Rochester, New York in 1996, Dr. Schnitzer moved to Mobile.

He was employed as Director of Inpatient Rehab Services at Mercy Medical Rehabilitation Center in Daphne, Alabama, where he also served a term as President of the Medical Executive Committee. In 1999, Dr. Schnitzer joined Coastal Neurological Institute, a multispecialty group (neurosurgery and physiatry), where he established a practice in non-operative spine care and pain management. During his twelve years as a member of that practice, he also severed as staff physician at the Rotary Rehab Hospital, affiliated with Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, Alabama.
