Lee Obstetrics & Gynecology was established in 1965 to serve women of East Alabama with compassionate, attentive and high quality OB and GYN care. Our focus is the complete health and vitality of our patients. We are one of the oldest and most recognized medical practices in the area, and one of the first to adopt the use of electronic medical records and paperless check-in technology.

Our group delivers an average of 1,400 babies per year and our doctors have served in various leadership positions at East Alabama Medical Center, including Chief of Staff, OB/GYN Department Chair and members of the board of directors. We have also had one of our physicians serve as President of the Alabama Section of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as President of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.

Love this office!!! I saw Dr. Hensarling for my last pregnancy – I was nervous because I would be having a baby 17 months PPD, AND wanting a VBAC. She let me lead while keeping mine and babies safety in mind.. she was incredible and helped me have the MOST PERFECT delivery. Forever grateful for her and staff and doctor/nurses and friends!!

I’ve personally had good experiences both times I’ve come here. Rachel Brown was very quick and professional during my yearly exam. I saw Dr. Smith today for a health issue that I’ve seen 3 urgent cares over that have done nothing for me. He immediately found a solution and encouraged me to come back should it not work. The nurses who did paperwork were also very sweet and I was only there for about an hour both times.

I am currently 9 months pregnant and have been a patient here since the very beginning. I’ve had exceptional experiences here every single visit. All the doctors and NP’s I’ve seen here have been great, my absolute favorite is NP Valerie Birmingham. She is very thorough, takes her time, and listens to all my concerns. The only downfall is the wait time, you will be there at least 2 hours. Also, the new office is beautiful!!

Incredible group of doctors! Kerri Hensarling delivered my first in 2022, and I saw Dr. Marino with Dr. Young being the doctor on call when I went into labor with our 2nd this year, and I cannot give them enough praise for helping us navigate through pregnancy and a spontaneous delivery. I always appreciated my doctors remembering who I was or my baby’s’ names during a visit, and calming my mama heart when we had to have our 2nd go to the NICU. Forever grateful for Dr. Hensarling, Dr. Marino & Dr. Young for taking care of our family!
