A year ago, I hired K&S Plumbing to fix a leaky tub faucent in my apartment. The technician said he would be unable to fix my faucet without shutting off water to the entire building, and the company charged me anyway without doing any work.
I confirmed with the building manager that other, reputable plumbing companies had no trouble shutting off water to specific units—no need to shut off water to the entire building.
However, the K&S Plumbing technician still refused to replace the faucet.
After—literally—4 months of this back and forth, K&S Plumbing sent out a new technician who had no trouble turning off the water to my unit to fix my faucet. However, instead of replacing o-rings in the existing hardware, this technician replaced the hardware with the cheapest, flimsiest faucet possible. Not even a year later and its already started to leak again.
He also didn’t bother to caulk the replaced hardware, I had to do that myself.
K&S Plumbing is genuinely the worst “plumbing” “service” in the area and only exists through their contract with American Home Shield. Don’t ever make the mistake of hiring this company, and if your home warranty service assigns them to you, demand that they are reassigned.
