For a special treat, go behind the restaurant to the “wine bar”. Much more relaxed feel but it’s got plenty of bottles of wine to choose from (even more than the restaurant) and pretty much the same feel.

Best date spot in Birmingham but if you go to the main restaurant you have to make reservations. If you go to “wine bar” in the back, either get there at 5 when it opens (be sure to have everyone in your party) grab a bottle of wine and be ready to hang for a while. If you’ve got a good group or a good date then that can be just as fun!

One of the best places to eat in Birmingham. Excellent wine selection. Excellent food. Excellent service. Romantic place but it can get loud and is always very crowded. The wine bar is equally always busy but equally a great place to go.

4-5 years ago I gave 4 stars because the dining room was loud, packed in, and chaotic. Post covid it’s brighter, more spread out, and much more comfortable and pleasant dining experience. It’s a totally different (better) experience. The burrata and Chicken Parm were fantastic. Service was great. Would definitely go back

The best steak, brussel sprouts & macaroni & cheese ever! I never eat macaroni & cheese out anywhere and there’s is awesome!!! Their fiocchi is great also!

Fantastic food. Excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere. Small wonder reservations are hard to come by. One of the few places I’ve been where I think the expense is well worth it.

The regular menu is full of delicious dishes. But where they really shine is with their specials, which change daily (which is SAD because it means you’ll never be able to go back for that amazing dish you had). Get a reservation if you can, and treat yourself to an evening of mouthwatering bliss at Gianmarco’s.
