East Alabama Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine

At East Alabama Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, we treat patients differently, because everyone is different. From the athlete to the retirees, each patient has their own ailment and we are here to take care of each patient individually. We focus on the rapid recovery of patients by specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems from tendonitis, sprains, ligament tears, cartilage tears, and osteoarthritis to broken bones.

Our physicians are board certified Orthopaedics Surgeons. Dr. Bob McAlindon and Dr. Win Lyle are general orthopedists that completed a Sports Medicine fellowship which specializes in preventing, diagnosing and treating injuries related to participating in sports and/or exercise, specifically the rotation or deformation of joints or muscles caused by engaging in such physical activities.

Dr. Scott Morrell is an active fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 1994. He practices orthopaedic care across all disciplines including arthritis, arthroscopic surgery, deformity, joint replacement, rehabilitation, sports medicine, and trauma/fractures care. Our surgeons take time with each patient to explain the nature of the problem, order appropriate diagnostic tests including x-rays, magnetic resonance images (MRIs), and computed tomography (CT) scans, and craft a treatment plan to account for the patient’s unique needs.
