Christopher Heck, M.D.

“Dr. Heck joined Southlake Orthopaedics in January 2018. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Heck practiced orthopaedics in Montgomery, Alabama for the last 10 years specializing in spine surgery. Dr. Heck always thought he would follow in his father’s footsteps becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. Instead, he quickly learned in medical school he had a strong love for physics and orthopaedics became the surgical field he would choose. Dr. Heck is from Mobile, Alabama.

He graduated from Medical School at the University of South Alabama in Mobile and completed a General Surgery Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Heck then went to Duke University for his Spine Fellowship. In addition to his busy spine surgery practice, Dr. Heck is also an instructor for NuVasive. He teaches XLIF, a minimally invasive spine surgery to colleagues across the Country.”
