My daughter has loved every second of this school! It’s the perfect place for her to be. No other place even compares. We feel like she’s getting an amazing education and has found life long friends.

As an international college student who moved to Birmingham-Southern College, I can definitely say that it has been the best decision for my future. I was able to make friends easily and my teachers were always respectful and full of knowledge willing to teach. I love my classes where my teachers enhance my learning and let me speak out my views with respect. Overall, Birmingham-Southern College has become my second home in these past three years of my life.

When researching colleges I took it upon myself to do detailed research on every college in the United States where I could receive a valuable education, compete in my sport, and be a part of a family. I visited twelve colleges in eight states before I found Birmingham-Southern College. The thirteen-hour drive did not deter me from packing up my life in Texas and moving to the state of Alabama because I had fallen in love with the college and the state. I knew I had found a new home.
On my campus, I am a tour guide, an athlete, an orientation leader, a tutor, a woman in stem, an honor society member and involved in Greek life. I do not participate in these activities for my resume. I participate in these activities because I love my community and my chosen family. I love that I was able to choose a college that finally felt like a home and I want to keep being a part of it.
