When visiting a new city I always like to seek out an original pizza shop. Friendly service right off the bat! The aroma when I opened the door blew me away! I asked if they could put the pepperoni on the top and they were happy to do that for me. It usually is under the cheese. The pizza dough had the light airy crust that I hoped for, and a nice crisp crunch when I bit down. This is THE best pizza! Also, very affordable, without compromising the quality ingredients.

Best pizza in the Birmingham area! Staff is super helpful and FAST. Ordered pizzas, salads, and cookies for 90+ people for a work lunch, and they had fantastic customer service and handled the order perfectly. Meat pizza is the best, and get one of the huge chocolate chip cookies (perfectly soft and gooey).

A neighborhood gem! We’ve lived here in Bluff Park for the last eight years, and never thought to eat here. This was our loss. Based on the rec of one of our UAB students, we tried it out tonight, and the food was DELICIOUS. I’m a total pizza snob, and Baker’s isn’t new-age designer pizza; ala organic kelp, Amish-grown kale, or free-range goat cheese. It’s just straight-up traditional pizza, and flat-out FANTASTIC. BIG flavors; and everything spot-on. The key is quality ingredients: their sauce is rich and spicy, their cheese is fresh and real, their crust tastes homemade, and their toppings are all top-shelf. You open the takeout box, and it looks very unassuming and generic – and then you take a bite, and go, “Wait a minute….What?…..WOW! This is GREAT!!!” We had both the “Outlaw” and their “Veggie” – and both were exceptional. And their wings are thick and flavorful. All in all, a delightful surprise. We definitely will be visiting them frequently in the future. Thanks Baker’s!!! PS “Atmosphere” rating was simply because it’s a takeout place, not a sit-in dining restaurant. UPDATE!!! – We ordered from Baker’s this past Friday night (again), and finally got their Bacon Cheese Garlic Bread. BUY THIS. They use REAL BACON, and it’s INCREDIBLE!!!!!

The service and quality of pizza exceed expectations. Everything I ordered was fresh, and the staff was courteous and efficient. The delivery service area is huge, and prices are reasonable. Baker’s feels like a pizza joint from a bygone era. It’s classic, delicious, and affordable.
