Auburn Family Medicine’s goal is to provide the Auburn-Opelika area with comprehensive, compassionate, and individualized medical care. They strive to accurately diagnose and treat their patients with the utmost in patient care and up to date medication management, all while stressing overall wellness and educating their patients on how they can best live a happy and healthy life.

At Auburn Family Medicine, they care about the whole health of you and your family. Their doctor’s have compiled healthy eating plans, exercise resources, and health links to guide you as you live healthy. Auburn Acute Care changed its name to Auburn Family Medicine in February 2017 to better reflect their scope of care. They are now in the process of building a brand new clinic just down the road from their present location on Dean Road in Auburn!

Going to the doctor is never something to look forward to, but the employees at AFM made it a wonderful experience. Everyone from the front desk staff, tech, doctor, and lab tech were kind and caring. I felt heard and well taken care of. Highly recommend!

I have read some other reviews and I apologize for those who found the staff communication troubling, your concerns should be heard and it’s frustrating when the line of communication for that is obstructed.

I’ve been using the patient portal linked on their website to send messages to the staff and schedule appointments. The staff has been great with responding to messages and the portal benefits the patient and staff relationship by being a record of communication along with other data for your private record like medication, biometrics, etc.

As for my experience with the care, I believe Dr. Hammond has expertly navigated everything I needed help with: skin conditions, neurodivergency, and depression/anxiety are some general issues I’ve seen Dr. Hammond with and he’s heard out all my concerns and responded with a network of professionals he can refer you to for the appropriate care.

I started going to Auburn Family Medicine back in 2019 after being recommended to go there. Dr. Christy Young is awesome. The nurses and customer service are great, and their policies and service are pretty on par if not better than a lot of other PCD’s (especially those in Columbus, GA). To address the other reviews, a generalist doctor can treat common conditions but you should see a specialist if it’s something beyond what a generalist can treat. Also, all doctors offices are going to have some wait in response time, especially considering there are so few doctors compared to the general population. Thank you guys for all that you do!
