Alexia Powers Novara, M.D.

Alexia Powers Novara, M.D., completed her undergraduate degree at Auburn University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and completed her OB/GYN residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.

Dr. Novara said she chose women’s health because as a women’s healthcare provider, she gets to walk through every aspect of a woman’s life with her – from routine care to preventive visits, contraception, prenatal care, deliveries, menopause and everything in between. This gives her the amazing privilege of getting to know her patients on a deeper and more personal level to offer the best care possible.

Dr. Novara is an avid group fitness enthusiast and has a 4th degree black belt. While she doesn’t practice martial arts anymore, she still enjoys being active in any way she can, especially outdoors. She and her husband have one son and they are big Auburn fans.
