Alabama Bone and Joint specializes in all orthopedic care for all ages. Our physicians and staff are well experienced in the care of injuries, orthopedic deformities, degenerative orthopedic disease processes. We have on-site digital imaging and strong relationships with other specialty care providers to provide diagnostic tools and treatment plans for those of all ages.

Our physicians are experienced in the newest and latest technologies in surgical intervention. If surgery is needed, our knowledgeable staff will coordinate every aspect of your surgery. We will help with insurance and schedule your procedure at one of the many hospitals and surgery centers in the area with whom we have relationships. Our staff will assist in the coordination of your recovery including post-operative visits and therapy if needed.

Seeing Dr. C for a broken arm. Wait time not too bad. The nurses & x-ray techs very kind and attentive. Dr. C takes time to explain your x-rays to you and very good to answer any questions.

Dr Carstensen and the staff are so friendly. They immediately put you at ease from walk-in to walkout. I took my 87 year old Mom for a surgery consult. It had been 18 months since her last visit and Dr C seemed to remember her. He gave us non-surgical and surgical options and did not push her to any particular option. Mom and I chose a knee replacement surgical option. Dr C explained everything. Showed us the X-rays as he explained. We were grateful to get a surgery date in 3 weeks.

Since 2017 I have been a patient of Alabama Bone & Joint for knee replacements and carpel tunnel surgery on both hands. ALL surgeries have been very successful and now @ 76 years old, I can say there are no regrets. Because of my knee surgeries, I am pain free & no more injections and do not have to use a cane or walker for fear of falling. I highly recommend ABJC to anyone I talk to and will continue to be a patient for any future procedures. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.
