Yellow Fin is a unique dining experience located on the square in Historic Downtown Gainesville, Georgia. Like its namesake, a restaurant formally located in Historic Roswell, Yellow Fin offers the best in fresh seafood and delicious land fare.

Yellow Fin is located on Bradford Street next door to its sister restaurant, Re-cess Southern Gastro Pub, in the century old building that most Gainesville natives remember as Purdue’s News Stand. Both Yellow Fin and Re-cess are the creations of partners Christopher Richardson, and each offers a distinct dining experience.

Yellow Fin’s menu is the work of Chef Kenneth Sloan. It offers a variety of seafood options, including different fresh catch options every week, raw oysters on the half shell, fresh salmon, and of course fresh tuna. What a great surprise to find a place as great as this in downtown Gainesville, Georgia. I love oysters Rockefeller and you cannot find them anywhere in this area. Well we found them at Yellowfin and they are awesome and large. They also have awesome large Scallops. Cool atmosphere and every dish we have had has been perfect.

The bottom line is…my family loves this place. we have been going there for 3 years and love the consistency and quality of the food. I can’t seem to get very far past the oysters rock-a-fellow….wow those are great. My wife and son love the seared tuna and the juicy fillet piled high with fresh crabmeat and smothered with homemade hollandaise sauce is the best. The staff is always professional and courteous…job well done guys…see you soon.

We love to come here on Fridays and hang out at the Bar. Brandon the bartender is just amazing. We love their raw oysters, mussels and fish tacos.

Came here for a late dinner and everything was delicious! My husband had the Fish Tacos and said they were the best he’d ever tasted. I had the Crab Cakes, which were equally delicious and the mashed potatoes were so creamy! I’m embarrassed to admit I ate half the bowl, they were so good. Cassie, our server was friendly, knowledgeable and provided impeccable service. We will definitely be back! Oh and the Peanut Butter Pie was amazing!
