My wife, kids, and I decided to take a detour on our way back from Florida to Minnesota. IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. Extraordinary barbecue. Together we ordered the smoked prime rib, half a rack of ribs, pulled pork, potato salad, brunswick stew, macaroni and cheese, broccoli-cheese-and-rice-casserole. They were out of some sides that we would have tried, but no big deal. Last but not least, great service too. The only downside is that I don’t think I can enjoy any of the barbecue spots in my hometown anymore, they just don’t compare to Wiley’s!

I hosted my birthday dinner at Wiley’s and every aspect of it was perfect. They saved my table, let me bring in my own cake AND hung up a birthday banner for me – with ZERO promoting from me. The service was super and so was the food (per usual). This was the PERFECT place to celebrate with my friends. Thank you for a great birthday!

I’m from Kansas City, so my wife and I take this stuff seriously. Wiley’s is the real deal. Great service, and great BBQ. We frequent Wiley’s as we live about 3 minutes away, and I can honestly say that we’ve never had a bad experience here. We bring KC family here all the time to show them that we’re living right down here in the south. Everyone is always impressed. Thank you, Wiley’s, for making a Midwestern feel right at home.

The Seat adjacent to Janet one of the two owners, Wiley who wasn’t present at the time, allowed me not only the best seat in the house, closest seat to the kitchen, I heard first hand how this fantastic restaurant evolved, and the friendly staff taking care of my order served without incident, My sampler platter. Go figure a English teacher for 30 odd years turns her mouth watering recipes not only into 5 star eating experience but into a cook book with those excitingly delicious and passionate secrets you’ll take to the grave. Take time out and head on over to Wiley’s.

Being from NY, we have some okay BBQ places here. I was very excited to try some real southern BBQ on this trip. We stop by a place near Charleston and Wiley’s. Wiley’s is by far the better of the two and the best BBQ i have ever eaten. The only thing I didnt care for were the Fried pickles (they were a bit too acidic for my taste and a little too salty). The BBQ itself was just amazing and it’s going to be hard for me to eat BBQ anywhere now. Everything is smoked and seasoned perfectly. The sauces are perfect too (got 2 of the Better Than Sex BBQ Sauces to go). We got a sampler plate, which consists of beef brisket, pork and and ¼ chicken, which we substituted for burnt ends. Then added the 4 rib bones. You get 2 sides, so we picked sweet potato fries and Dutch Crust Sweet Potato Casserole. I’m not sure which of the 4 meats I liked best, but probably liked the pulled pork the least (but it’s still very very good). Just try them all if you are there. The lemonade is also made in house and very good. There is a reason Wiley’s is on the lists for best ribs and bbq. Go here and you wont be sorry
