I am leaving my original review below for posterity, but I have updated the score to reflect the fact that the situation has now been resolved.
Ultimately, I happened to fall right within the window of time during their switch between billing systems and I was one of the group who fell between cracks.
Billing is handled through a third party, but because of the unique nature of the issue (it having occurred during this time window), it was not really within their power to address and I suppose it wasn’t deemed important enough to pass back.
Once I contacted the main office and dealt with Brittany, as the response to my initial review indicated I should, we were able to quickly reach a satisfactory resolution.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE
I want to be clear that everyone I dealt with at the facility was kind and my complaint is specifically with their billing practices.
In February of 2022, I broke my left ring finger and came to the Urgent Care of Berwick for x-rays and brace.
In July of 2023, I finally received a bill for this visit, along with a bill for a previous visit from 2021. I called to dispute these bills because of the fact that I knew I had met my deductible in each of these years. I follow this closely enough to be confident they had not filed the charges in time to contribute to that. In fact, I had an unrelated surgery in 2022 that required me to pay the whole deductible in full prior to being scheduled.
After explaining the situation, they told me they would look into it and get back to me.
Several months later, I received a new bill for the same broken bone. This time, at least, they saw fit to remove the charge from 2021.
I called again and was informed that they had switched their billing system within the recent past and it there were some hiccups. Completely fine! But also not my problem. I was then told to contact my insurance, but I told them I would not be doing that. In May of 2023 I switched employers and thus, insurance. If they were certain they were entitled to money from my insurance, I was certainly fine with them pursuing it. I hear nothing further.
Now, in January of 2024, I have again received a bill for this visit in 2022. This feels predatory. I imagine many people would simply pay the bill without looking into it and that is why I felt compelled to finally write this review.

Most patient healthcare professionals I’ve been with. This is my third time here and they are wonderful. Firstly, today someone came in bleeding, obviously it’s urgent care and no emergency but a nurse and Doctor Tim ran out to patch the patient up and directed him to go straight to the ER. That right there was just showing the effort and showed me how much they really care at this facility, to go the extra mile. Secondly, I’ve been sick for a while and the nurse was so kind to me, patient and attentive to everything I was saying. She relayed it back to the doctor and he came in and told me that we are going to get answers. And so he did. Got me tested. Finally got answers to what’s been going on with me. Got me on some new meds and I’m walking away very satisfied. And Let me not forget the front desk receptionist. She is the sweeties. Very caring. Soft spoken and very easy to talk to.

Dr. Tim is always amazing, Dr. Mary is Momma. I don’t play about. The A team. I just do not trust anyone else with my family. Especially during those urgent times when my family needs to be seen. We are always seen in a timely manner, and the service is excellent. This family thrives to take care of everyone who walks through their doors. They see all ages and take time to listen and give the best service in the area. Don’t look anywhere else for urgent care. Bring your family to the Urgent Care of Berwick. Or one of their locations.

During my visit at Urgent Care, I was pleasantly greeted by MA, Nicole. She was extremely friendly & exemplified great customer service. I recommend this Urgent Care location. 10/10 experience.
