So, what brought me out to Uncle Julio’s today was my mom! She kept bragging about their handmade soft chicken tacos and I had to come try them for myself… being that i absolutely lovvvve food!!!!! Food truly makes me happy inside and out!! Aaaand…I was NOT disappointed!! From my waitress (Taylor) to the manager (Matthew Shoe) everyone was a real delight!! So, if you’re in the Atlanta area and looking for some great Mexican food, come to Uncle Julio’s off Peachtree Rd… you won’t be disappointed!

I love this restaurant and I come to this location more then the other one… Friendly staff and great hostess… I get the same thing every time I go and that’s the Guadalajara… I always substitute my chicken for extra steak… My go to drink is the watermelon margarita… Oh and taco Tuesday is the best there.

Excellent service from Kevin! Food great as usual but we were beyond impressed with our server who catered to us and our two kids. He brought out items we forgot to order and fixed our wobbly table without missing a beat. Our food runner forgot a dish and he caught it immediately. Thank you!!

I’m writing this review because I think Uncle Julio’s deserves more than 3 stars!! We tried out this place for my friends’ birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. This isn’t one of those generic Mexican restaurants with tacky sombreros and fiesta vibes. The atmosphere inside is spacious, colorful, and eclectic. We were seated right away, and our server, Taylor, was friendly and attentive throughout our dining experience. The chips are warm and made fresh, but, be warned, the salsa has some kick to it. You can even have guacamole made fresh in front of you at the table, with ingredients made to your tastes. Does it get better than this? Tip: Guacamole comes in two sizes, large and small. Rather than order small guac, order the “side” of guacamole. It’s the same size but for only $1. When it comes to entrees … enchiladas with blanco sauce are savory AF, and the honey chipotle fajitas are absolutely dank. But, Uncle Julio really saved the best for last: the chocolate piñata (see pictures). No words. Final Verdict: Yelp is sleeping on Uncle Julio’s, but you don’t have to. 10/10 would recommend this place to a friend.

We have never been her before and thought we would try it out. We were seated immediately with no wait. Our waiter came over within 2 mins of waiting, Jonas was very friendly and intuitive about their dishes. We tried the Bacon wrapped Camarones they were Delicious. Our drinks were Grapefruit Margarita and The Grand Swirl they were mixed just perfectly. We are planning to visit again this weekend.

Love this place. Hate their closing this location in 2020. The beef fajitas are amazing. Hate they don’t have the ribs here but was told the perimeter location does serve them. Strawberry margaritas are amazing. Very flavorful. Also they make fresh authentic tortillas. A Mexican restaurant ain’t a Mexican restaurant unless you have fresh flour tortillas. Thank you Uncle Julio’s. If you decide to reopen in another area, please Camp Creek.

It was great. My son and daughter-in-law took me and mother out for Mother’s Day, and we had a ball. The food was excellent oh, I can’t quite remember the drink that we have but it was good we just had a glorious time and hopefully one day in the future we will return. To me it was truly authentic Mexican food even the restaurant was very authentic. Thank you Uncle Julio

This is the best Mexican–The chips are fresh (and light) and the salsa is AWESOME. Everything here is delicious–including the drinks! Sit on the patio when it’s nice, and get the true Atlanta experience looking down Peachtree Road. I’ve heard it might be closing soon, so check it out while you can.

This was my first visit to Uncle Julio’s. I enjoyed the welcoming hostess when we entered. Taylor was a great server. She was very professional and attentive. The table side guacamole was amazing. The tortilla chips were great. I really enjoyed the skinny mango margarita. I will be visiting again in the near future.

Today I celebrated my Birthday 9/19!!! Nicole waited on my group and was A-mazing!!! I had a group dining reservation and everything went so well for my party. From making the reservation to the display of the appetizers we had it was PERFECT!!!!!! Thank you Uncle Julio’s Buckhead team!!!!!! I am forever going to be a loyal customer I love Uncle Julio’s!!! Nicole thank you for making everything go so smoothly and taking such good care of my party and also big thank you for making the piñata happen!!! My 6 yr old daughter could not wait for the chocolate piñata. You have to try it it’s the best and everyone will enjoy it not just the kids. I’ll see you all soon!!!!!! This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone! The prices are definitely worth the portions provided. I would absolutely recommend the guacamole bar! It was delightful. I had never had guacamole before and the moment I tried Uncle Julio’s it absolutely changed my life.

We love this place. This is the best Tex-Mex in the area and it’s the kind of place you will want to frequent over and over. You can smell the grilled meats from the parking lot! So good!

Hands down one of the best experiences we came across . Me and my Fiancée drove from Greenville South Carolina to literary just give this place a try and we can tell you that it was definitely worth the drive . Food was amazing and fresh and such an amazing customer service . Thank you to our server Emani for being so welcoming and helpful with every request . We definitely coming back to this amazing place !

I had the spicy shrimp fajita’s with the made from scratch tortillas. Absolutely delicious. I also had the Fresh margarita of the day which was also pretty good. The service was really polite and the atmosphere was amazing. I would love to go back.

Always one of my favorite Mexican spots to go to in Atlanta. The drinks are great. I tried the grapefruit margarita last time and it was really good!

Still the standard for fajitas in the Atlanta Area. The recipe is now posted online, but you just can’t do it like they do it. A lil’ queso to start .. a swirl … and then the beef fajitas! A perfect evening!

The fajitas with steak cooked medium was amazing!! The shrimp with bacon dipped in Mexican butter was to die for! Everything was seasoned well! The chips with seasoned sauce was delicious! Overall this sh#@ was Good!! Heart warming Good!! I will be back and back and back and back!!!!

Excellent service, great food. The habanero salsa is very good, spicy, but not just “hot” for the sake of being hot. You can watch as they make the tortillas right there, and believe me, tortillas so hot you can barely touch them make a soft taco so much better than pre-made mass-produced tortillas. Great chicken and beef, cheese, excellent guacamole made at your table.

LOVE everything about this place. Delicious food with authentic tortilla making machine on display. Awesome drinks made by a great bartender “Peeley”…she has wonderful energy and spirit about her. She made my friends and I have a wonderful 1st experience on Cinco de Mayo 2019. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

I wish I took a pic(but I wanted to respect their lunch) the ladies of “Sister Circle” were all there, enjoying what looked like an amazing cast lunch. I had the watermelon margarita which was so good I had to order a second. The food was spectacular. The ambiance was nice and the service was even better. I will be here again
