Following a bad storm, we had water intrusion in our basement. I contacted Trotter, and they sent Scott L. out to assess the situation. Scott is very knowledgeable about the solutions that Trotter offers. Scott promptly prepared a proposal and even came out to our house again late one evening while it was raining to examine the issue again. We got on Trotter’s schedule quickly, and Scott brought another colleague, Jim, to our house to give a second opinion before starting work. The work – grading in various areas and a new secondary wall with a French drain near the area at issue – was completed promptly and professionally. Trotter may not be the lowest cost solution, but I prefer to pay a fair price to deal with an issue once.

I received an estimate today. The rep was very pleasant but his comments were not. I was told that Mr. Trotter only deals with the “wealthy” and when he pulled up, he knew I wouldn’t go for the estimate. He told me the job would be about 7 or 8k. That’s the bare minimum that the company charges.
One, how do you determine how much money someone has by just pulling up? Two, how do you determine what someone can afford by just pulling up? Three ,So, this company doesn’t charge by the job?
I’ve already received a couple of estimates and have never in my life been told any of this. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

We’ve used Trotter (Brian Vicknair was our contact for all 3 jobs) for basement encapsulation and for rainwater management. Each time they have been on-time, did an excellent job and cleaned up the work areas quite well. A bit more expensive than competitors, but you get what you pay for. Very satisfied customer.

Took awhile to get scheduled. However, all appointments were kept on time. Diagnosis, estimate, and repair. Project to renovate system installed in 1997 and tie into new system in another area of basement that includes a pump. Demo, installation, & cleanup done well and neatly in about 4 hours.

Trotter crew arrived on time and I noticed the crew came totally prepared with materials, instructions and knew where work had to be done. The “head” crew listened intently to my experiences of where the issues were and walked through to make certain checking with the set of maps provided by the company. The team worked effectively, efficiently and answered my questions at interment times. Trotters work was neat better still immaculate and completed everything including cleaning and tidying up in time as suggested by Alex. Bravo Trotter! Thank you.

Workers were punctual, courteous and professional. My wife and I are very pleased with the workmanship provided by Trotter Company and would not hesitate to recommend them. Mr. Billy Bibbs with whom my wife and I spoke, was very knowledgeable about the waterproofing business. The instant he saw where the water was entering, he said: “I can tell what is causing the leak.” The issue was addressed by Trotter’s workmen within days, and the matter was resolved. Honestly, I wished that their price was lower, but as the saying goes: “you get what you pay for.”
My wife and I were very pleased, and would not hesitate to use Trotter again or to recommend the company and their very knowledgeable representative, Mr. Bibb.

I had an issue at my home that I thought might create future problems if not addressed. I called Trotter. Lisa was very pleasant and professional handling my inquiry. We set up an appointment for soemone to come take a look at it at no charge. Greg arrived precisely at 11 AM as scheduled. He looked at the area in question and offered his assessment that there was really no harm in leaving it as is. It would not create the problem I was concerned about. Rather than create a big unnecessary and costly project ( which his firm could do) he offered a simple solution that I could do on my own.I felt he truly looked objectively at what was needed to address the problem putting my interests first. He also shared that he observed another potential issue that we could self- correct. I appreciated his honesty, integrity and professionalism. I would call Trotter again if I had other issues that needed their service. That experience earned my trust. Thanks very much.

We got three quotes to fix the water coming in our basement. Trotter were competitive and did a great job. Everybody at Trotter was great to deal with from getting a professional quote on what was needed to the very efficient installation crew to dealing with the office.
Following one of the wettest winters ever our basement is completely dry.

From the start Trotter has been great to work with. We needed waterproofing and foundation reinforcement work done in our basement, and they were professional, timely, and delivered a great result. We were very happy with the expertise Greg provided, and his team did a great job. We trusted the work they did so much that we ended up using Trotter again two months later for some additional projects in another area of our home. Highly recommend!

Estimate to repair garage slab crack.
Joseph Saraceni arrived as promised to look at a crack on our garage slab floor. He said that to fully restore the floor would be many thousands of dollars and the condition of the crack does not justify the cost. Mr. Saraceni was prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. If we need any basement, crawl space or foundation repair, Trotter Co. will be the first one we call.

Two underground walls of a finished basement were waterproofed, exterior drain pipes and a sump pump was installed.
I recently had a flood in a finished 2,500 sq. ft basement. This is rental property and thus a dire emergency. Thank you Trotter for coming to the rescue! Every one at Trotter and GreenSky financing exceeded my expectations. Tammy at the Trotter office was my contact person. She helped me arrange interest free one year financing. She provided me contact information for James Tuggle and he escalated the loan process. Joseph Saraceni provided an estimate without the scary, pushy long winded power point sales presentation given by the first company I interviewed. (That estimate was over 3 times higher to do the same thing.) Joseph also able to provide me contact information for a reputable demo and restoration guy named Joe G. After bidding out this job, Joe G provided the best bid and thus I hired him. Next, Jim Kitchens visited, reviewed Joseph’s estimate, made sound recommendations, walked the property with me and pointed out landscaping issues that should also be addressed. This job took two days. Team leader Carlos was assisted by Elias M, Corey and Papa Chuy Blue Cruw. These gentlemen did a superior job! I live in a tiny gated Brookhaven community. Not only did these guys clean up, the yard looked better than ever! This job was completed with minimal disruption to the community. I am so grateful!!! My basement is now ready to be renovated to its previous beauty! Lesson learned: Before you finish your basement, call Trotter and let them make sure it is waterproofed! This is the only company I will ever recommend!

This is probably the most professional, friendly, and most importantly honest Residential issue company I have ever dealt with. I scheduled an appointment. Alex came out with his equipment diagnosed the issue, recommended the solution, put his findings in writing, referred me to honest vendors, and took my calls on a Saturday night and a Sunday morning to go over the findings and solutions as I was on a deadline. ALL of that without charging me a single penny. That kind of service is exceptional and now I understand why my cousin recommended them to me. On top of that Alex was extremely knowledgeable, honest, and precise in his analysis and findings. Just an amazing experience all around in comparison to other companies and contractors I have dealt with.

In 2003, 6 months after we bought our house, we had water streaming in between the cinder block joints in our basement. We got estimates from Trotter, Aquaguard and another company. All except Trotter wanted to use a sump pump (which fails if the power ever goes out in a storm) – Trotter wanted to use the natural slope of the basement instead as a gravity drain. The other companies also wanted to drill holes in the cinder blocks for some kind of earth anchors to stabilize the wall; Trotter recommended carbon fiber strips instead.
Trotter jackhammered a trench/french drain all around the inside of the basement, installed a black pipe draining out to the backyard, reinforced the walls with carbon fiber strips, and covered the walls with a thick plastic board type material.
15 years later, our basement is still dry as a bone. With the transferable warranty, and Trotter’s reputation, we know that no buyer should ever worry about buying our house. Thanks Trotter!

Couldn’t be happier with Trotter’s service and performance. Jim and Greg were very professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Greg didn’t try to sell us anything not needed. Miguel’s crew installed the sump pump as contracted and cleaned up nicely. The days following installation we received 5+ inches of rain and the pump performed beautifully. I’ve already recommended them to 2 people.
