I have professional experience of 40 years (since 1974) working on cars. I’m the owner, Dean Rose. I’ve had my shop here in Athens for over 20 years now… making us one of the most trusted (and experienced) repair shops here in town. My mechanics, Jimmy Collins and Joe Staton, each have over 20 years experience.

My mechanics and I serve you better because we live and breathe cars. We’re each ASE-certified, which means we have to pass 3rd-party tests every 5 years to make sure we stay on top of the ever-changing technology that goes into vehicles. I have a daughter that goes to UGA and I have searched repeatedly for an auto repair shop for her to take her car to for repairs. I have had her take her car into Top Dog Complete Auto Repair with very satisfying results. She has taken her car in on a day when she needed a ride and they willingly gave her a ride back to the University. Within 3-4 hours of diagnosing her vehicle, the office called us with an answer and estimate on each repair needing to be done to her vehicle. I authorized the work to be done on the vehicle and when the repairs were finished they went back to pick my daughter up at school. Since the repairs have been made we have had nothing but success with the way her vehicle has been running.

GREAT SHOP, they really care about you and your car. They had the best prices in town and did not try to force unnecessary repairs on me. The final price was exactly what they told me it would be.

On one terrible, cold, and wet morning I woke up to a car that would not start. After finding a way into campus and eventually calling a tow company I had my car towed to the Honda Dealership in Athens. Some one had STOLEN my the cadillac converter and my battery was dead. The outrageous estimate from the dealership forced me to panic and call my mother (since I am a 20 year-old college student who can not handle life at times). And she found the angles of Top Dog. After dragging my car away from the dealership, they quoted me $800 less than the original estimate and had my car fixed and running in less than 24 hours. The staff was extremely helpful and they even welded the bolts of my converter to my car so no one could steal it again. It’s a little bit out of the way, but don’t let the looks deceive you! Top Dog is the best and most honest in Athens!

They got my son’s car in quickly and fixed it by the next morning which was great since we are from out of town and needed it quickly for my son to take us back to Atlanta. The guys seemed knowledgeable and all were friendly. The car is running smoothly now!
