Tim Yarbrough founded our towing company in 1974. Through almost 40 years of his hard work and dedication he built this company into one of the largest towing companies in Southeast Georgia. For the past 34 years, Tim’s Towing & Recovery has been servicing southeast Georgia and surrounding areas. The company’s main focus is in commercial towing, heavy hauling and recovery. With 10 tow trucks in our fleet and my group of dedicated drivers we have built this company into what it is today.

We serve customers who are large fleet owners down to individuals who just experience an unfortunate breakdown. Whoever you are, we treat all our customers and their vehicles with the utmost respect in courteous and helpful manner – In our view, this is fundamental to building a successful towing operation.

The M.S. Savannah, our flagship truck, is a 60-ton Century Rotator design for one-lane recovery and heavy-duty tow and recovery applications. This enables our drivers to easily and safely tow and/or recover extreme amounts of weight and large sized vehicles. Aside from commercial towing and recovery, we also are equipped for lightweight vehicle towing.

I want to thank Tim’s Trucking last week when my wife got a flat tire and they came to her rescue, she didn’t have a spare tire and needed a flat bed to take her car back to the house. They arrived to rescue her ahead of the time they said and took great care of her and her car. Ryan who came to assist her was terrific he was professional and curtious and it was very obvious he was proud

Top notch service! Chris was awesome and absolutely saved the day and Tisha was fantastic to work with as well. They were on site within 30 minutes and recovered my forklift in under an hour. Thank you guys!

Tim’s Towing and Recovery is a class act! Yesterday my car wouldn’t start in the Tybee Island North Beach parking lot. After several attempts to start the engine, I phoned AAA and I was told that I would have a 4 hour waiting window. I wasn’t happy about this, but I felt stuck. After 2 hours, AAA auto-phoned me to say that the window had been extended by another hour. By this point I was feeling a bit frantic because I was dehydrated from sitting in the vehicle in the sun, I needed to use the restroom, and also I needed to get home to take my medication. I decided to call another tow company and I am so grateful that I found Tim’s Towing. Tisha was super helpful and professional when I called in. She expedited the call and made me feel like I mattered. The driver James Jenkins came out quickly (in under 45 minutes) and he deftly hooked up my car and had us on the road in minutes. James is very personable, and he calmed what had been a really stressful situation for me. I would recommend that you keep Tim’s Towing phone number in your wallet!
