From the beginning, he gives you the personal time and attention you need to win. His expertise are unmatched within the area. Please understand this firm is in high demand – but you will nonetheless receive first class service.
Watching David work and observing his legal prowess is like watching Monet or Picasso paint – he’s simply a master. He lays out very detailed facts in the courtroom and leaves no stone unturned. It’s almost unfair watching him against other attorneys; he is a bulldog. He won a father primary custody of his children after a mother lied constantly about everything. After a long journey of 10 years and several court hearings I can truly say there is no other attorney that I would trust to fight for the safety of my child other than David Schacthner. David is a very busy, very sought after attorney and with good reason, you wont find another attorney of his caliber. Even with his busy schedule he always makes time for important preparation even if he has to sacrifice his personal time on a Sunday evening. His ability to quickly review, process and retain so many intricate details of your personal case while also dealing with other clients is truly an astounding gift. David is brutally honest without sugarcoating things, he says the difficult realistic truth that you don’t want to hear and I’ve learned over the years why this is so important. I’ve spent the majority of my daughter’s life fighting for her safety from an extremely dangerous, relentless and deceptive person. Finding yourself in the middle of a custody battle is stressful & overwhelming enough & I would never wish such a terrifying situation on anyone. I have known so many other parents with similar situations and I was horrified to hear about the the level of incompetence and lack of professionalism presented by their hired council which paled in comparison to my experience with David Schacthner and his team which has been by far exemplary. I was so blessed to find David Schacthner in 2013. During my very first consultation with him he took immediate action to cancel a hearing that had been scheduled without my knowledge and set up a strategy to gain evidence of the level of deception I was dealing with. We were able to prove the fraud upon the court in two separate cases and I walked away with full legal custody with the plaintiff only being awarded supervised visitation indefinitely!! Unfortunately it has been a continuous battle with my child being abused even with supervision but again under David’s advisement and years of fighting justice has prevailed and my child is protected!! I know that could not have been achieved If I had hired another attorney. He is expensive but he will deliver results that exceed your expectations and that makes it worth every penny!! If you find yourself in a custody battle he is the fighter you want by your side. His level of experience, knowledge of the law, ferocity in the courtroom & passion for justice is the combination that you need if you truly want to protect your child. When your child’s safety is at stake you go with best!! I will forever be grateful to the judge, David Schacthner and his team of professionals!

I would like to thank the Schachter Law Firm. David is a brilliant and detail oriented attorney. His insights into my case was amazing in that he perceived legal matters that were beyond my comprehension. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful and most importantly genuinely concerned about my personal and financial well-being.

David is rare in his insight and ability to think strategically. He is as wise as he is brilliant. I trust 3 people in this world. He is one of them. He has great integrity and a work ethic rarely seen today.
He is an hour from my jurisdiction, however that becomes irrelevant in perspective with his level of professionalism, focus and uncanny ability to think outside of the box. I have worked with David on and off for about 2 years. He doesn’t waver and is able to stay up to speed with the most devious types in order to protect his clients and their children.
He is also a team player and gets along. This combination is rare. I feel honored and blessed to have found him.

David is hard working! He is smart, he is compassionate, and he balances a no-nonsense attitude with the patience needed to deal with an emotionally affected, hands-on client like me.
I don’t have a ton of experience with lawyers, but I do have 9+ years of brief interactions with family law. Meeting David was the first time an attorney didn’t patronize me and asked me what I needed/wanted in terms of child custody, visitation, and support rather than deciding those things for me.
He advised me as to what was reasonable, what I needed to be prepared to compromise on, and I knew from the get-go I was willing to listen to him because I knew he was listening to me.

My husband and I live in Michigan, and have a son living in Savannah. We reached a point where we felt our grandson’s safety was in danger and contacted David. He moved quickly to get us temporary custody of the baby, the outcome we desired.
David is experienced and professional. He is always available, and returns phone calls and emails in a timely manner. We have received responses from him in the late hours of the evening when time was of the essence. Lisa in his office is amazing – very helpful and accommodating.
I have had reason to contact David a year after our case, and he remains helpful and accessible. I would not hesitate to use his services again or recommend him to others.
