Since 1753, The Pirate’s House has been welcoming visitors to Savannah with a bounty of delicious food and drink and rousing good times. Situated a scant block from the Savannah River, The Pirate’s House first opened as an inn for seafarers, and fast became a rendezvous for blood-thirsty pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas.

Here seamen drank their grog and discoursed, sailor fashion, on their exotic high seas adventures from Singapore to Bombay and from London to Port Said. The entire family will enjoy Savannah’s most intriguing restaurant. At the Pirate’s House, our most precious treasure is our food, acclaimed for over three decades.

Our extensive menu includes dishes for all tastes and our varied selection of scandalous desserts is sure to delight. Like a tale of the high seas, The Pirate’s House rambles in all directions. We operate 15 separate dining rooms each with a distinct charm all its own.

We were so excited to find this gem while driving through Savannah! Such delicious southern food on the lunch buffet! The fried chicken was incredible! We agreed we preferred this over The Lady and Sons. Our family enjoyed the atmosphere just as much! We were sad we left without getting the kids picture with the pirate who visited our table. Love the gift shop as well!

We had shrimp and oysters – both were excellent! They also gave a short tour which helped make the visit more interesting.

First ate here over 20 years ago, and keep coming back whenever I visit Savannah. You cannot beat the atmosphere of dining in a “haunted house”. No visit to Savannah is complete without stopping at the Pirates House for their famous Honey Pecan fried chicken.

We heard about the Pirate House on one of our tours. We thought it was the perfect tourist trap restaurant and we really didn’t want to go. We kept hearing good things from everyone about it, so we finally gave in and went. Shrimp and grits were the best we had in Savannah. Mac and Cheese was one of the best too. The Award Winning Pecan Fried chicken meal was also very good, but it was WAY too much chicken to eat. (That might also have been a result of eating so much food during our trip and this our last dinner). Excellent meal and great service.

We absolutely enjoyed our meal. Our server Pam was very nice and attentive. Our food was hot when it arrived and was very good. Come here with an appetite, their meals are huge. It’s a bit pricy, but after looking at several menus at different restaurants around Savannah it was better than most. I would recommend The Pirates’ House to anyone and we will certainly eat here again.
