We returned from a trip to find a notice in the mail of a city ordinance we’d unknowingly violated. The wording was stern and intimidating. While searching on the web I found Mr. Lawson’s firm, and I was impressed with the reviews I read, so I called.
His legal assistant Ms. Alyssa responded within minutes to my voicemail, and asked for key details. Within a couple of hours, Mr. Lawson called me back. I knew very little about how worried I should be, or how to proceed. Through a conversation he actually made enjoyable, he set my mind greatly at ease. He found information on this case that the city had not provided, and offered very helpful specific advice.
He suggested we can probably handle this one on our own. But if I ever have a situation that I can’t, I’ll call Richard S. Lawson first.

I found myself in need of legal help and I could not have had a more efficient team. They were a comfort to me as I could not see the outcome in sight. But they constantly assured me that I was in good hands. They are extremely knowledgeable in all legal areas. At court, Kimberly took charge and fought hard to settle my case. It could not have gone any better. They know everyone in the circuits and are well respected. They understand people make mistakes and they will fight for you. I will forever be grateful of their legal passion, calm presence, understanding, assurance of a positive outcome and most of all fighting for my rights. Very helpful, possibly the best. I only called once and he gave a lot of advice. You can not get help like this in modern day. Someone who explains what to do step by step and does not exspect a big payment.

Richard went above and beyond in my case. His communication was fantastic and he was very thorough. He had my charges reduced a few days before court, which seemed like an impossibility prior.

I recently hired Mr Lawson and his firm to represent me and could not be more satisfied with my decision. I also couldn’t be more grateful for what Mr. Lawson did while being my legal council . I was facing four charges , one of which was a drug related felony so needless to say, it was very serious . I hired Mr Lawson less than one month before my court date so he didn’t have very much time to build his defense for me and I was very concerned. All my fears and concerns turned into joy and gratitude when I was found not guilty on all for charges after just a day and a half of trial. Simply put, if you find yourself in trouble and needing an experienced criminal defense attorney, Lawson and Berry should be your first and only phone call. Richard represented me twice for dui charges two years a part. He saved me from jail time in both instances. Not only was he professional, reachable, and knowledgeable, but he was compassionate and caring. I was scared to death and so ashamed. Richard talked with me and calmed me down, felt like he was a dear uncle. He was always there for me for anything throughout it all. Absolutely the best decision I could have made in hiring him.

I had the unfortunate experience of being arrested for DUI in January 2020. Having never been arrested before I was unsure of who to turn and trust. Luckily, Richard Lawson was my first and only call to a DUI attorney. From the beginning he was honest about what he could do for me and what I could expect through this legal journey. Covid did cause some delays in the case being processed through the courts but Mr. Lawson kept me informed the whole time and was available when my spirits were down. Mr. Lawson was able to get my charges reduced and I walked away with my driver’s license and no jail time. Thank you Mr. Lawson for helping me through this ordeal. I highly recommend Richard Lawson if you should, unfortunately like me, find yourself in legal trouble.
