Wow, wow, wow, wow, and… umm… wow!
Went with friends to celebrate a birthday and was not disappointed. The birthday boy had raved about this place and the high expectations were surpassed. I had the Asian Nachos appetizer with the Korean Barbecue. It used wontons instead of tortilla chips and they were awesome! I can’t stress that enough! Excellent service on a super-busy day after a 10-15 minute wait, which we spent at the magic/costume shop next door. They notified us by text message that our table was ready.
My friends had soft tacos and lettuce wraps which they loved and the birthday boy got a free sopapilla & ice cream dessert without the embarrassing birthday song, lol.
Highly recommended.

Delicious Taco’s
The restaurant uses fresh ingredients & offers a variety of delicious tacos with Mexican & Asian influence. Great location at Marietta Square. Restaurant is packed most nights so I usually sit at the bar to avoid waiting; tables outside as well. Reasonable prices to be in such a prime location. Three taco’s, side & margarita for ~$20. Server/ bartender Tatiana & restaurant staff are friendly & provide just the right amount of attention/ service. I have eaten here twice; both times the food was delicious & service fantastic. Extra napkins were provided without having to ask. Greeted by name on my second visit.

Fabulous combination of flavors and excellent service
Loved this place!
it was packed during all the time we were there. you can tell that this is a very popular restaurant. and it was early evening on a Sunday.
love the menu choices!
for appetizers, we had Empanada bites short ribs – just fabulous
the guacamole fresco – homemade and delicious
the shrimp Fuego had a great combination of flavors.
the tacos: Rich man, baja and thai chicken were just amazing.
the presentation of all the dishes were gorgeous and very colorful.
definitely a place to come back to eat when in the area.
our server, Jackie M. was fabulous, very professional and friendly. never had to wait for refills of water.

Best Restaurant on the Square
Our “no fail” choice for a meal on the Square. Not hit or miss, like so many of the other local restaurants can be. Their Rich Man’s tacos are delish, with plump and tender chunks of marinated steak. Their tofu tacos are superb. Sounds weird, and I love my meats, but they are just super flavorful. The cucumber salad is like my mom made us as kids. Simple and tasty. I appreciate being able to have a nice meal and be able to have choices that stay within my calorie goals. Always a wait, so be prepared. But worth it.

Tsunami in my my neighborhood
The food is very good and reliable. The staff is attentive and in 4 years I have never had a negative experience. We often bring out of town guest and they love it.
One of us is a vegan and we love that there is an option for vegan dinning, more options would be most welcome and have us there more often.
On average we eat at Tsunami in or order out about 3x a month, sometimes more.

Wanted something different
Every time I visit Atlanta I want to try something different. We were staying in Marietta and did a few searches and ended up eating here. Great options if you like Asian fusion with Hispanic influences. Appetizers were great. They offer several specials for tacos so I jumped in and tried three different tacos. *ask for recommendations*. It helped and to top it off all the desserts were great. Prices are fair and between three people we made it out with appetizers entrees and desserts for under 65$. Something great to try if you’re looking for something different.

Enjoyed dinner last night. Our waiter Austin was very helpful. Food and drinks were delicious and they accommodated my vegan diet even offering to cook mine in a separate pan. It was much appreciated as that is not always offered at other establishments.

We had so much fun celebrating our son’s 3rd birthday tonight, and our server, Austin, made it absolutely amazing. Probably the best service I’ve had anywhere, honestly. we can’t wait to come back!

I love this place. The dishes are inventive, and so good! We ordered an appetizer and 6 tacos – one was decent, the rest were great! Our waitress Sarah was friendly and attentive without hovering – she even recommended a drink that I loved! Everything was clean and well cared for, including the restrooms. I have no complaints.

Went there for the first time with my family, it was excellent. Not only was it great service, but it was reasonably fast. One of the things that I noticed was they don’t try to win you over with portion size. The portions are the size you can eat…not extremely large just to impress you. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t ‘small’. But you won’t be needing a take home bag unless you over order. We loved this place. We range from 2 years to 65. It was fantastic for everyone and I recommend it highly.

This is an excellent restaurant! The combination of Latin and Asian flavors is wonderful. We had the fried cauliflower appetizer, and my high-school-aged son even loved that (he normally doesn’t like cauliflower at all). We also enjoyed the tempura shrimp appetizer too. Some of us had bowls, which were excellent, and my wife and I had some tacos (beef – superb, and tempura shrimp too – also awesome). The flavors are amazing, service is great, and you can eat outside too! Highly recommended!

This place was amazing. We were just walking around the Marietta town square and it was the place with the longest wait and even people walking by we could hear say they loved it. We had the avocado egg rolls and cheese dip which were good. Then we had the guacamole and edamame that were both the best we’ve ever had. We live out of state and decided it’s worth the drive here every time we’re in Georgia. The cucumber salad is great too. We also had the aloha and rich man taco as well as the Thai chicken but the shrimp tempura taco was out of this world. We HIGHLY recommend it and this whole place.

If you are going to be near Marietta Square you must try this place! The aesthetics of the inside reminds me of place where folks would stop by to have a cup of coffee with friends.Nothing fancy. But the food is consistently fresh and expertly prepared. An explosion of flavor exists in the fusion of Far East meets South of the Border.
I have not had one bad meal here. Since my palate embraces the Far East, I tried the fried cauliflower this past week. WOW! The cauliflower was fried perfectly and the slightly sweet soy based sauce it was coated in hit every note. I could not stop eating them. Fortunately, there was a whole bowl full.
To compliment your meal enjoy one of the many drink offerings. I like the margaritas and mojitos.
Prices are reasonable and portions sizable.
In the warmer months you can eat outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the square.

Food is amazing , creative at a great price. There is a server there named Maurice, promote this guy. Have been doing customer service and working with customers most of my life and this guy exemplifies and embodies the essence of that. Bought us desert just so we could try it. Quite literally tipped him more than the meal, because he made the experience so positive. Keep this guy with your company.

Drinks are very good, especially the dragonberry mojito. That was my absolute favorite. I enjoyed the guacamole, although it could use a dash of salt. The chips that came with the guac were thin and crispy, just how I like them. While I loved the tacos, the sides left a lot to be desired. I tried the tater tots, and they were crispy, but lacked flavor. I also tried the cous cous, which had good flavor, but I didn’t realize it was served cold and it’s pearl cous cous, not the tiny grain cous cous that I prefer. I ordered the Korean beef taco and it was very good. I also ordered two shrimp tacos and asked for grilled shrimp instead of fried and they were excellent. My only complaint is that each taco only came with 2 shrimp so you would need several if you’re hungry

So good! I was visiting a friend in Atlanta as I’m not from there and we stopped here for lunch. I was a little cautious but curious when I first heard of it, but rest assured it was well worth it. The wait for lunch on a Saturday was incredibly short for two people and the staff were very kind. As neither of us had been there before she was patient and willing to explain a little about the place as well as offer suggestions on what to get. We had a fantastic time and the food came quite quickly actually. I could easily see the Latin America and Asian influences in our dishes and they tasted amazing. The prices were reasonable and I definitely recommend stopping by!

Haven’t been there in like 10 years plus, went to the new one today by myself and met a guy by the name of Marco who I met while going in the door and he asked me what I thought about the place. Told him I hadn’t been there in 10 years but the food has always been good. I said screw it Marco and I had lunch together never met the guy before absolutely fantastic conversation and excellent food!!!!
There is absolutely no reason to eat by yourself and not having interesting in meaningful conversation with just the average person.
I can’t recommend this place I enough!!!!

We love this place! To start you have to try the Kogi BBQ short rib nachos, they are the best!! The small tacos are fun and there are many different flavors to choose from, all fresh and delicious. The tots and queso go with every single one! They’ll have a special drink each season, this time a coconut milk, pineapple juice tequila drink with a little jalapeno heat, so delicious!! Their sangria drinks are always great as well. Never had a bad experience!

Wonderful experience! Asian tacos! Have seen food like this on TV, mainly on the west coast. Every time we are around the Square in Marietta we go. The cauliflower is unbelievable. Only 2 things to work on. 1. More beans with the black beans and rice. 2. The Acoustics are horrible. To have a conversation one has to almost scream. Need something to help dampen the sound. Other than that love it and highly recommend it.

Delicious and fast! This restaurant offers such an odd combination – Mexican and Asian food. It totally works though. Their menu is wide-ranging with options from tacos to a Teriyaki bowl. I was not disappointed with my choice and neither was the rest of my party. The serving staff is very quick. Total time from sitting down to exiting the restaurant was less than 45 minutes. Plus some of their profits goes towards Tsunami relief efforts.

I had this restaurant recommended to me a while back and I happened to be in the area so I decided to check it out. We tried the appetizer nachos which were delicious and then got the three tacos and a side. We had the Aloha Taco, Rising Sun taco and my boyfriend also had a taco with steak on it. We got the tater tots with queso dip. Everything was incredibly delicious. Our waiter Awesome Austen was great and super helpful with explaining the menu!! Would definitely recommend!! Will be going back soon to try more tacos and maybe get one of the highly recommended margaritas!!

I don’t know if i could enjoy a Restaurant more. The price point is great and so is the location. When we have visitors from out of town we always bring them here and it never disappoints. I love the spare ribs i could get it every day. I’m not taking stars away but ordering to go it loses some of the magic. The food is still great and they package it exceptionally well to make sure it is not soggy but it’s never how a chef or operator intends their food to be enjoyed. Great food good service we really like it here.

I met my nephew to celebrate his birthday and was pleasantly surprised when Awesome Austin greeted me and immediately made a customer-waiter connection. We had a rapport that promoted my nephew and myself to have a memorable time at the restaurant. Now, not to forget the food, it was delicious. The rice bowls were exceptional. I had the Southwest (?) Bowl, and my nephew had the American Bowl, which we both devoured. The desserts were also very tasty.

Taqueria Tsunami is in my top 10 favorite restaurants ever. We visit at least once a week. It’s affordable, offers lots of different types of dishes, quality, and reliable every time. The queso is my favorite because they offer warm tortillas or chips, and the warm tortillas are so good. I always get the South of the Border Bowl (rice, avocado, chicken/steak/shrimp, delicious sauce). There are also a bunch of tacos to choose from, and I’ve liked every kind I’ve tried. The side items are LARGE. If you have room for dessert, go for the sopapillas.
The service here was friendly and quick when we visited. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t try Taqueria Tsunami.
