Welcome to Sushi Avenue Decatur! Sushi Avenue Decatur On the Square has been serving the Atlanta area since 1997, offering authentic sushi and sashimi using high quality fresh fish with excellent service at great prices. Warm and welcoming, we also offer traditional Japanese cuisine with the finest ingredients, giving each of our dishes wonderful flavor.

We offer sit-down dining at the sushi bar and our high tables are loved by the young people in our community. We also offer take-out. For lunch we offer bento boxes and sushi specials. Check out our other location on Ponce de Leon.

We now serve patrons from two locations. Both locations are separated by a quarter mile of each other: Sushi Avenue on the Square and our original location on Ponce de Leon Ave. Sushi Avenue leads the way as Decatur Georgia’s best choice for traditional Japanese cuisine and sushi. Our senior Japanese sushi chef has over 40 yrs of experience in the field.

Sashimi, sushi, specialty rolls, cold appetizers, as well as hot, tantalizing appetizers and entrees are several examples of the types of cuisine that we offer. In addition to our fresh sushi and sashimi offerings, we are proud to serve traditional Japanese cuisine. These dishes include our teriyaki plates and Japanese noodles such as soba and udon.

I love this place. I eat here regularly and highly recommend it. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I sit at the Sushi bar often and chat with the Sushi Chefs. Alam is my favorite.

The food is always fresh. They have a good selection of signature rolls. My favorite is the Emory Roll. It is topped with some of the most delicious Eel I have ever had. I travel for business a lot so I have had sushi nearly everywhere I travel. I have had many of their rolls and I have never been disappointed. Rolls are priced in line with most Sushi restaurants $8-12. They have Sake and Beer and its awesome!

This was our first visit to Sushi Avenue. We were impressed. One tip: the Ponce location doesn’t open until 5:00 even though it’s listed as noon in here. We went at 5:00 and sat at the bar to watch all the action. It’s not a high bar mind you, just regular table & chair height. Feel free to talk to the preparers. The gentleman working in front of us said he has been preparing sushi for almost 20 years.

We started with pork Gyoza (potstickers) and the were great! Perfect consistently, hot and tasty. We got a Nigiri combo platter so we could try several things. (Photo taken) It had 10 pieces plus 8 California Rolls and included the standard ginger pieces & wasabi. It also included one salad & one Miso soup. Everything was super fresh. My wife said it was the best tuna she has had. She actually got 2 more of them before we left! The eel was actually cooked and done in teriyaki glaze. It was delicious. The meal: The Gyoza appetizer, the Nigiri combo platter, two additional tuna nigiri & 2 sodas. Total time: 1 hour (we ate slow), appetizer arrived within 10 minutes, combo plate 5 minutes later) Cost: $34 + Tip- We will definitely go back!

Yum yum yum left happy and full Monday and the service was great. Try the. Tempura shrimp and the udon noodle soup and the pork dumplings. My coworker and I will be coming back.
