Since opening our doors in 1950, St. Francis strives each day to provide the best and safest care in west Georgia and east Alabama. With 376 beds, 2,800 associates, and 300 physicians, we offer a full range of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room services, including the only open heart surgery program in the Columbus area.

And to ensure that we always offer our patients unsurpassed care, we continue to grow and expand. In 2011, we broke ground on two new towers, which opened in 2013. Also that year, the St. Francis Heart Hospital opened, putting all cardiac services and cardiology practices under one roof. Plus, the St. Francis Sue Marie Turner Women’s Hospital opened and delivered its first baby.

Dr. J. Tyler Johnson and his staff over at Columbus Clinic are Awesome . I was seen at appointment time!
Dr. Johnson is very knowledgeable looked me in the eye, address all my concerns, answered all my questions and gave me detail information to assist with my quality of life. He sent me to lab for blood work and the next morning I received a call from nurse making adjustments to my medication for the better.

My mother was admitted at St Francis MICU on 2/19/24 where she received excellent care from her nurses. She was shown so much compassion. They got her stable and was transferred to the Med Surg floor where her nurses Priscilla and Shatagie gave my mom top notch care. Her nurse tech Tasha and one other lady I apologize I didn’t get her name but they kept watch over my mom. They turned her every 2 hours and kept her clean. My mom needed medication around the clock and they made sure she received what she needed. I am so grateful for the staff and management. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the compassion shown. Thank you.

The doctors were amazing and helped me with resources on getting the procedures that I have been trying to get done. Even the nurses were great and were patient with me. Ms.Janice and Ma. Dreiria were extremely helpful. The nurse tech Mrs. Kim was my favorite, they took the took the time to actually figure out why I have been suffering for the last years and now finally thanks to them I have a treatment plan in place. Thanks for the excellent care and if I have any problems in the future I will be going to St.Francis.

I was sent to the ER by my GI doctor and was treated quickly. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Even though my case was a bit complicated, they did everything they could to speed things along and make my visit as pleasant as it could be.

We do not live in this city but were passing through in route to another location when my husband realized he’s left the cord to his CPAP machine at home and long about the same time I realized I would not be sleeping very much. Thought to check out the Respiratory Dept. to see if replacement cord could be found. No luck at all but the nurses in that E.D. helped with phone call after phone call in attempts to locate someone else that might be able to be a “cord provider.”

Such able, concerned and thoroughly dedicated efforts commanded me to offer an “awesome shout out to colleagues” so often working hard and remaining unsung. Thanks so much for all you did and all you do every single day in the care of and service to others.

Why this hospital would get any other rating than 5 Stars is beyond me. I have just had major surgery there and everyone was fantastic. Great attention to detail and wonderful caring staff in a clean safe environment. I would recommend this hospital to anyone and everyone. Thank you all.

I have to say Dr. Blake is by far one of the best doctors we have ever seen. My son had a swan finger and after a tendon transfer
surgery and 2 pins he is doing very well. I can not thank him enough for a job well done.

I just looked back at a memory from three years ago. I came in for my pre-op and my paperwork was lost. I was sitting for over two hours while they fixed the problem. After all the effort they had to redo everything.

But for my patience they gave me two passes to a movie and dinner. Needless to say my surgery was a success and I’m so very happy I went to St Francis. It’s my preferred hospital.
