Stop by for a taste of family tradition and pig out at Sprayberry’s Barbecue. Sprayberry’s Barbecue is a family owned and operated business which has grown with the City of Newnan and Coweta County.

Sprayberry’s Barbecue had its beginnings at Houston Sprayberry’s gas station located on Highway 29 just north of downtown Newnan. In 1926, Houston was selling enough barbecue sandwiches from the back of the station to close the pumps and become a restaurant. With his barbecue sauce and wife Mattie Lou’s Brunswick stew, Sprayberry’s Barbecue became Newnan’s most popular eating spot.

Best BBQ in the South! Love Spraberry’s, Downtown Newnan and I-85. Stop every time we go through Atlanta. I even have customers going thru Georgia bring me Sprayberry’s! Lewis Grizzard special!

While pursuing my college degrees and after 23 years in Newnan, this is the one restaurant I come home to every time. Their Aristocrat is amazing, the BBQ salad with chunks of pulled pork is delicious with BBQ sauce as salad dressing, but my favorite is the Houston. One whopping sandwich full of Brunswick stew and succulent pulled pork, could life get any better?! This is a must have!

This is the real deal. Years ago I was corrected by a Virginian that Northerners don’t know what real barbecue pork is. It isn’t pork mixed in with barbecue sauce. It DOESN’T have the red sauce! It is PORK BARBECUED, not barbecued pork. Sliced or chopped, this was a great place to experience an authentic Southern pork barbecued sandwich and we are so glad that we just happened to see a billboard on our way out of Alabama and decided to take a chance. It was the best! Onion rings were very good – not too much breading. After eating in the restaurant, I also appreciate the offer to send us off on the road with our refill drinks to go. Thanks for the hospitality for our long trip to Chicago.

The best Brunswick stew ever! I highly recommend the Lewis Grizzard special. However, it’s all delicious!
