Our visit was a family affair… Celebrating a time mark for me and a new gig for our daughter. The food was amazing, the ambiance was authentic hospitality, and the table service was expert and genteel. Other patrons seemed to also be enjoying their experience.

This Italian restaurant is one of the best in Atlanta in my humble opinion. As I have travelled to Italy, I can say much of their food is authentic and in line with true Italian cuisine. I believe the head chef himself at the restaurant is Italian, which adds all the more authenticity. I highly recommend visiting this spot should you ever find yourself in the artsy, hip area of Inman Park.

Took a friend here for his birthday and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Everyone – from the hostess to the bartender to our server – made us feel like the only people in the restaurant. The server (I’m embarrassed to say I don’t recall his name) was attentive, allowed us to take our time between courses, and took great care of us – even while handling an 8-person table next to us. Our champagne glasses never went below half full. The food was fresh and delicious and the ambiance was quiet and intimate (again, even with a party of 8 right next to us!). A perfect evening.

This is the place to go when celebrations are in order. In fact, my wife and I made sure this was on the itenerary now that we live in CA. Not only will you get Italy quality pasta paired with your wine of choice. You will also get fantastically attentive service. Speaking of the food, do yourself a favor and order the Lasanette with a glass of the Il Bruciato and finish with the visually impressive and delicious pan a cotta. Thanks to Chef Ullio for the incredible food and to James E for making the evening one I will remember for many years to come.

Intimate (meaning close tables, but not a detriment), Sotto Sotto is a perennial favorite in Atlanta. The food is always perfectly presented and the servers are professional, friendly but not overly familiar. You can’t go wrong with the Funghi Pasta or the roasted Veal Chop. Just the best. Only negative remark is the ridiculous corkage fees…those of us who have large wine collections appreciate enjoying our own wines at fine restaurants. The fees here are over the top, for New York, London, Sydney and definitely for Atlanta. $40 for the first bottle and $80 for the second. The proprietors would do well in revisiting this policy. Otherwise, one of Atlanta’s best.

Went here for dinner tonight after not having visited this restaurant in many years. It was just as spectacular as I remember. I had the seafood risotto. It comes with shrimp, squid, clams, and mussels. I don’t care for clams or mussels so I asked if I could substitute asparagus instead. Server went to ask the chef and he accommodated me. It was simply delicious. My friend had the pasta with sausage ragu. She loved it. Looking forward to going back for more risotto and I also have my eye on the pappardelle with duck ragu.. Yum!!

Best Italian in Atlanta
Sotto Sotto has excellent northern Italian food. The items are far more than the usual (rather boring) options. The pastas are innovative and very tasty. Good appetizers. Substantial wine list (not really cheap). Good cocktails, many of which are unusual. The chocolate soup is a real dessert treat. Absolutely excellent service. The sign on the restaurant is a little hard to see.

Exceptional service and the food is incredible. Not being as familiar with Italian wines, our server after hearing our preference for wine made a splendid selection that was exactly what we wanted. Each dinner selection by our party of five received rave reviews from each person. How often does that happen? The pastas were perfect for their respective type and the seafood was cooked perfectly. We shared a couple orders of the chocolate soup for dessert that was so rich and wonderful, but having just enough to be wonderfully fulfilled without being over the top.

This place is incredible. From the service to the food to the ambience. We had the scallop appetizer- perfection! Then we have the Risotto Montecato, Taglietelle Funghi, and Veal. Wow wow wow. the service was one of the best in the city. Alison was an amazing server! She was attentive, friendly, and gave perfect recommendations. Highly recommend her as a server! Overall, great place for an anniversary dinner..or really anything else. Great place.

This was my favorite birthday dinner to date. The entire experience was spectacular. It was only a Tuesday but it was packed, always a good sign. My pasta meal with duck was divine. It was perfectly cooked and the portion was just right. Dessert was delicious as well. The waitress was attentive and friendly. We didn’t feel rushed at all. I will be back the next time I’m in Atlanta
