A distinguished veteran of the kitchen, Chef David Silverman has spent his career building a global resume from sushi chef to tapas chef. When it came to opening his own concept with his wife Karen, he chose to settle into his own neighborhood with a seafood-inspired menu. “Truthfully, I have always wanted to cook for friends and family in Woodstock. Reel is a chef-driven, fresh seafood concept, with a large emphasis on fresh fish. It’s my dream!”

For a taste of real, quality seafood in Woodstock, dine out at Reel Seafood. Opened in Downtown Woodstock May 2014, Reel Seafood brings a fresh approach to seafood. The casual dining room is warm and welcoming, and the open-air patio is perfect for enjoying cool nights with views of Main Street. Owner Chef David Silverman cooks everything to order, while his wife and partner Karen Silverman manages the front-of-the-house.

Popular dishes include the savory crab cakes and shrimp and grits (with local Logan Turnpike grits), while fresh oysters on the half shell make a perfect chilled appetizer. The full bar offers an array of wines by the bottle and glass, and the house cocktails are a smash (try the Reel Margarita with Cabo Wabo Reposado and Cointreau, or the SKYY Peach, using fresh Georgia peaches, orange juice, champagne and SKYY Vodka). Reel offers a fresh take on seafood with a casual yet high-quality dining experience in Woodstock.

The wine was delicious as was the calamari, and it got better from there. I had the swordfish and my wife the mahi mahi . Both, including the sides, were superb and served while still very hot; obviously no waiting between cooking and serving. Our waiter was attentive to a fault. Another plus were the reasonable prices. We could not be happier and will return soon.

This has got to be the best newest Seafood restaurant in all of the ATL! It definitely has the New Orleans flair; A fried shrimp po’boy sandwich with romelaud ($11) is almost impossible to find in ATL. Free valet available. Having been a previous restaurant owner- I know this place has the right stuff! The owners-operators are friendly & gracious. Been there twice now and I know I will be making a reservation for Friday already!

We have gone here a couple of times now, and just yesterday had a fun time for a “Monday Night Brewing” beer tasting event with an amazing dinner to go with the beer tasting. We had a great time, had some great food and beer. The service was top notch.

I recieved a gift card to the Reel for my birthday and Omg the food and service is phenomenal! My husband had the brisket burger because he’s not really a seafood eater and it was awesome. I myself had the jerk salmon and mango salsa with rice and it was out of this world good….. We also had dessert and the key lime tart and lava chocolate cake just added to the goodness! We will definitely be back! I highly recommend eating here!

This place is fantastic! My partner and I walked in for lunch yesterday and I still can’t get the experience out of my head. The staff is friendly and fun while the food is phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back and try some more things on the menu.
