Oyster Cafe

We at Oyster Cafe offer our customers a great casual family environment with great service and the highest quality seafood, chicken and steaks available served fresh and hot to your table.

With more than 30 years in the restaurant business, we have a very full and rich history going back to the mid 1970’s when a young Pak family emigrated from South Korea.

After venturing in the restaurant business for about 10 years, the couple acquired the Oyster King in 1986 in the historical city of Kennesaw.

It was a waffle house style building with just a bar and 6 tables. Soon after the Pak’s acquisition of the Oyster King, this quaint restaurant caught the attention of the locals and soon lines would form outside the door.

In 1988 we had an article written about us in the local paper.

Due to popularity, the 1st Oyster Café was opened in Doraville, Ga which was a success but due to strain on the couple working at two different locations, was closed.

We landed a spot in the Atlanta magazine in September 1991 that gave high praises to the way we handled our fresh seafood at Oyster King. A few years later in 2000, we had another tribute written in a local Cobb county paper, again proving our high quality of food we were serving.

Oyster King on Cobb Parkway was in business for almost 20 years and closed in 2005.
After a two year break, Oyster Café was reopened in Kennesaw to serve the community with the same high quality food and hospitality. We still offer all the fried seafood entrees but have also added grilled entrees for the health conscious customers.

We are still serving the same jumbo fried shrimp, succulent oysters and buffalo wings that we had on the menu back in the 80’s but we’ve been innovative in adding more to the menu to provide more choices and to better serve our patrons.

We’ve come a long way from the lines that formed outside of the old building in 1986 with only 6 tables. We have created an environment that is casual yet modern and we welcome families and friends to join our family and enjoy great fresh food and pleasant dining.
