Memorial Health University Medical Center (MUMC) is a nonprofit, 654-bed tertiary care hospital in Savannah, Georgia. We opened our doors in 1955 and have evolved into the most advanced healthcare provider in the region. We are a regional referral center for cardiac care, cancer care, trauma, pediatrics, high-risk obstetrics, and neonatology.

Our hospital includes the region’s only Level 1 trauma center, the region’s only children’s hospital, and the Savannah campus of Mercer University School of Medicine. MUMC is part of the award-winning Memorial Health system, a two-state healthcare organization serving a 35-county area in southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina.

Every person check in to ER to 3rd floor was so attentive to my needs made me feel as though I was the only one here. None have been unpleasant and I feel 5 stars are to low for these outstanding people.

I dont know about all these terrible ER reviews, but i was very pleased with my care at this hospital. I had a scheduled outpatient surgery that became a one night inpatient situation. Most everyone was excellent, other than maybe one nurse who was just ok. My night nurse was an angel. But here’s my honest experience. I rarely get taken care of. Im a mom and I’m the one caring for my family and we have no close family here. So to have so many caring nurses and doctors making sure I’m cared for for 2 days, as well as kitchen staff cooking me food. I was just so touched. I honestly was sad when I got home LOL.

Id absolutely recommend this hospital for SCHEDULED surgery. I have no experience with their ER and honestly, I’ve never had good experiences at any ER anywhere. So my best advice to you if you need to go to an ER, here or anywhere, is pray like hell. And take your health seriously so you don’t end up there again!

Was so nice to finally visit a hospital that the ER didn’t just brush you off and are willing to help find the problem. I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff that was on this past weekend from the ER to the Ped’s floor they did an awesome job taking care of us. Thanks for all y’all do!

Thank you SO much to the staff in the MRI department at the Outpatient and Wellness Center!! My 2yr. old had to have an MRI done and be sedated for it and from the receptionist, registrar, up to the nurses and doctor that administered care to her, they were absolutely wonderful and nurturing to her. I especially liked how they work so well together and went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was as comfortable as could be, with toys, talking in a soothing tone, putting on her favorite movie(“Frozen” of course) and one nurse even blew bubbles to distract her. I can’t say enough about how great they were. Awesome team work and dedication to patients and their families.

I have to update my review and advise that the Mother & Baby Staff are great! Janie has been incredible with my stay and Wendy has been amazing with my lactation issues.
