AMAZING find! Great pizza, which coming from NYC says a lot! Great service and even better food. Everyone from the staff to the other patrons were friendly and welcoming! My server, Sonya was helpful and attentive. She didn’t over visit our table or pressure us into ordering anything. My favorite part was ordering the Caesar salad because instead of croutons they add fresh made garlic knots. As far as our pizza we ordered half plain half traditional, which was pepperoni, onions, garlic, and cheese! Super cute interior, we got lucky and sat in the booth, although tables and bar seats are available. It’s our first day in ATL, so we didn’t drink but we’ll be back for a pitcher of sangria and more food! If you’re in the area and looking for a quick bit, I recommend trying this pizza place!

They are apparently known for their pizza. They didn’t disappoint. Although we didn’t get one of their specialty pizzas (because we couldn’t agree on which one) we elected to “make our own”. Also had garlic knot apps and they were really good as well. Childrens menu is your typical couple choices, and we picked the chicken and pasta. Plenty to eat, good taste. Couldn’t finish it. They had a dessert menu, but we never made it that far. Would consider coming back again when in the area.
Thank You for great service and great tasting food.

We try to get by Max’s whenever we are in the area. Luckily, it’s near Mercedes Benz Stadium and we get to frequent the Atlanta United matches. Last night, we visited after the match. We got the Tradizionale Pizza. It has pepperoni, thinly sliced sausage, roasted red peppers, and red onion. Absolutely one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. Get over there, you’ll be glad you did. Seriously.

A wonderful place with a nice and cozy restaurant to enjoy some great pizza. The service we had here was wonderful and attentive. There’s a nice drink menu and plenty of options for pizza combinations or to build your own. You definitely have to come here if you want some good food.

First of all, the young man who waited on me was very friendly and helpful. Not being from Atlanta, I had a few questions and he did his best to answer them. Secondly, I really enjoyed the pizza. It was fantastic. It ended up being too much for me by myself, but it was worth it. Highly recommend.

Max’s was everything. The wings were the perfect size, temperature and taste. And there is nothing like homemade ranch. The star of the night…the Caesar salad. Praise the Lord for this mouth pleasing piece of Heaven. Zesty, just enough Parmesan with a touch of lemon. My husband and I shared the Salumi pizza. It was fantastic. Perfect combination of sauce, cheese and 4 types of meat. The Italian sausage was spiced just right. Definitely a must try if you’re in Downtown Atlanta. This Katy, Texas family loved it.

Being from Chicago, you get to eat a lot of different kinds of pizza. When I say Max’s completely blew me away it is no overstatement. Our server was Mahad, who was brought this experience well into 5 star territory. He constantly got us fresh drinks and made sure we were completely satisfied, and believe me, we were! The polenta fries were so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with homemade ketchup and basil aioli that were to die for. The meatballs in marinara sauce were tender and flavorful, even the bread sticks it came with were cooked perfectly. We got the Margherita, Bianca, and Classic pizzas and all left us wishing we had second stomachs. I was so caught up with how delicious it was that I forgot to take pictures, even!

Really enjoyed my experience at this place. We had pizza, caprese salad and cannoli. Pizzas a cannoli were amazing. The caprese salad was not traditional it was deconstructed and kinda weired but then I tried it and the flavors were really good. My family had a great time and will definitely be going back. Thank you Max’s Coal fired pizza and employees!

Great location,great food,great service
Pouring rain all day didn’t want to go far. Within easy walk of Omni CNN. Had pizza in mind but ended up eating Caprese, Chicken Parmesan and Penne sausage. Everything good. The sausage was spicy as Jessica said but enjoyable. Loved the way Caprese presented with roasted tomatoes, pesto and flatbread. Chicken Parmesan was lightly breaded and very good. May head back tonight to try other items after the game. If we go, we will request Jessica for our server, she was excellent and knew her menu well.

Really good Pizza.
My granddaughter and I were visited the GA Aquarium and stayed at a very nice hotel. Max’s was literally across the corner and we ate there 2 times. Great food. The first time I went it was mid afternoon on a Friday. The next day we went at noon and it was completely packed. Highly recommend

Hit the Spot
Took the advice from a number of reviewers on TA and headed to Max’s with a colleague of mine for some pizza. A good sign for a Monday evening was a full restaurant. However, we didn’t have to wait very long to be seated. Our pizzas and drinks came quickly and the overall service was spot on. We walked away satisfied and full! I would definitely return for a second round.

Loved the ambiance!
There is about a 20 minute wait when you try to get a table but the food and the service is worth it. The place is popping with exited personalities from a very diverse background. The food was delicious and served pretty quickly. We were happy about that because we had a reservation for a private tour and didn’t want to miss it.
