Found our new favorite BBQ place! Staff was super helpful, even let us try a sauce, and the food was so good! My little boy is obsessed with their sauce and so am I. He wants it on his french fries, and even asked if they sold it in the grocery store. Definitely a great experience!

I have been several times from Albany. Excellent ribs and chipped beef. #1 tip: get the bottle of “hot” sauce that’s not on the menu. It’s not spicy but they keep it warmed and it’s awesome!!!! We’re heading there tomorrow for lunch, save some for us!!!

In my youth, a very long time ago, my family discovered a place called Brennan Rd. BBQ. It’s been closed for awhile, but I discovered that Macon Rd. BBQ was run by the same folks. So, I went today, and it was as tho I had been swept back to the 60’s!! Same chipped BBQ, same barbecue slaw, same Brunswick stew, same bread slices. It was great!! And such friendly people. I’ll definitely be returning!!

Was talking to my wife about my travels and the best Q I’ve eaten and Macon has to be it. From their stew to their brisket to their ribs it was simplicity at its finest & the flavors were through the roof fantastic. Don’t let their old building and dated interior fool you, because it’s not about the looks here, they’re all about the food & flavor. With all the rich aeromatic smoke filling the local tree tops, you’ll easily find your way here.
I came back on four different occasions and it was the same every time. My favorite is their Brunswick Stew & minced/sliced brisket. I wish we had a location like this in California. If I’m ever in the South, I guarantee I’ll be stopping by to satisfy my soul with their classic Southern style Q. Thank you for doing what you do so well!

Family owned from the start. Over 50 years serving and still just as good as their 1st day opened. Only bbq place I’ve been to that still fully smokes their meat and not boil… two thumbs up.
