Located on the banks of the beautiful Ogeechee River, just 15-20 minutes from Downtown Savannah, Love’s Seafood and Steaks on Highway 17 South at King’s Ferry, offers fine family oriented dining in a rustic atmosphere, among the finest to be found in coastal Georgia.

Since 1949, this restaurant, under the ownership of the Love Family, has offered to its patrons the very best in fresh seafood as well as premium U.S.D.A. Beef. We also offer waterfront dining and live entertainment. We host various events at our waterfront location, including weddings, gatherings, and more.

No prepackaged items will be found here. Our portions are large; however we do offer a lighter appetite meal for children, seniors and the just not so hungry. The restaurant was renovated and expanded in 1991 to accommodate over 250 seats. We ensure 100% guess satisfaction on every visit.

The glass enclosed porch overlooking the Ogeechee River is the most popular place to dine for our adult customers. This area as well as the outside patio covered dining, offers spectacular views of the evening sunsets and an occasional manatee or alligator.

Most all of the seating available offers these spectacular views. We offer a full bar with a wide variety of your favorite spirits. As a result of our customers continued loyalty a new larger kitchen has also been added, leaving additional dining space in our lounge. Love’s is a special place.

Best Seafood I have ever had in my life. Really recommend this place as a great destination to get away and eat at a beautiful location. Right next to the ogeechee river with a beautiful sunset and awesome food.

Travelling north from Florida on I – 95 we frequently stop in different restaurants in the Savannah area for dinner. We found this restaurant through Yelp and glad we did. Excellent seafood and other fare at reasonable prices. My husband had the surf and turf, (a rib eye steak and grilled shrimp). The ribeye was one of the best I have ever tasted and the shrimp excellent as well. I had the shrimp and grits. It was the best I have ever had. It’s been two days since we were there, and I wish I had a bowl of that shrimp and grits in front of me now, but alas, it is a pretty good drive from Virginia just for shrimp and brits. But believe me, when I am in the neighborhood, we will be back. Prices are right and the portions will assure you don’t leave hungry. Definitely recommend.

We were in the mood for some decent fish and didn’t feel like cooking. We have been here once before on a busy Friday night so we knew the food was decent. Greeted and sat quickly since there wasn’t a crowd, great server, and a nice river view. The food was excellent, a little bit high on price. However, great service and friendly atmosphere make it appealing to most. The food came out quite fast, but then again not a big crowd on Sunday night. A nice quiet dinner while watching the river.

Such fresh seafood !! Looking out onto the swampy ” low country”…
It’s what the tourist are looking for & what locals expect. Great shrimp & catfish & oysters ! And sides like fried okra, or collards, cheese grits and such. They’ve been in business Forever and were way less POSH when I was a kid . The prices & decor these days, say ” fine dining”.
The food however is authentic low country cookin’ —- soul food , family style, with Sweet Tea, Darlin’. I think it’s worth every penny for this delicious taste of southern hospitality .— pass the Hushpuppies ,Ya’ll .

I have been a local of Love’s Seafood all of my life. I am proud to say that Love’s is the best seafood restaurant I’ve ever been to. The servers are fantastic and attentive, the food is out if this world, and the view is always beautiful on the river. Most definitely worth the wait!!
