Made a reservation through Open Table, and we were seated promptly. The service was courteous and prompt, and all the food was delicious. I had the tagliatelle, which is now one of my Italian faves, while my wife has the risotto bianco, which she also loved. This is definitely going to be one of our prime date night locations when we’re craving Italian.

I went with my honey to enjoy a nice night out and eat some delicious food. Did not really know what to expect because everyone has a different take on Italian food. When we arrived we were greeted by our amazing and loving server, Emily. We wanted a bottle of wine but did not know many of the wines on the list but she recommended one that was exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the burrata and the squid ink spaghetti as appetizers and they were so packed with flavor and the presentation was lovely. Our entrees came out, my honey ordered the tagliolini and I had the tagliatelle. I can’t put into words how amazing the food tasted. After we stuffed our faces we decided to order their chocolate tart and ice cream that both were extremely savory and a great way to end dinner. I highly recommend this place as it will now be one of my new favorite spots.

We arrived at the restaurant and were seated right away even though we were late. We were given our choice of inside or outside. We chose outside. The seating was quaint and comfortable. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He was also willing to give us his opinion when asked. We had appetizers and drinks which were delicious and refreshing. Our dinner showed up pretty quick. The spaghetti with veal meatballs was very good! The Marinara was spectacular! I also had a House Greens salad. The fresh peas and roasted tomatoes were a very nice touch. The Risotto was also very very good. For dessert I had the Boccone Dolce! It had fresh peach’s and a marmalade with ice cream on top. Normally I have a chocolate something but decided to break out of my usual. I was greatly rewarded by this dessert! I would recommend it….heck even have it first before the main course!

After about 15 years of dining here, I can’t believe that I haven’t left a review. So, this is your neighborhood, cozy, date night restaurant. It has been consistently great for 15 years, what more can I say. Thank you for 100s of great meals.

Like most other restaurants in Virginia Highlands, La Tavola is small and cozy. We went for brunch. No wait and we were seated immediately. Great brunch cocktail menu with signature cocktails at a very reasonable price. Get the house made ricotta (if they have it). I had the eggs al forno (great if you like spicy) and she had the classic breakfast (the best eggs ever but the polenta left something to be desired, if you’re into that kinda thing). All in all, this place is special because of its intimate, familial atmosphere. It is one of the better places to go in this neighborhood. Enjoy!

Fantastic Italian option in the Highlands – sit outside if you can. Delicious fresh pastas and tasty cocktails, my favorite pasta is the tagliolini with mushroom ragu. Go on Monday for their $10 pasta specials, it’s a great deal!

Went here for dinner last night for my birthday. We were seated at a table right beside the bar and booths and it felt kind of tight and uncomfortable at first. Our server was amazing. She made great suggestions and treated us like friends. The veal meatballs with the spaghetti were seriously delicious. Had I known, I would’ve ordered them as an appetizer. I order the mushroom ragu and it was incredible. SO GOOD! Overall, the atmosphere was perfect and the service was immaculate. It was a little bit more pricey than we were expecting but hey, it’s my birthday, and I’m worth it.

Some of the best Italian in Atlanta! It’s a small Intimate restaurant with a cute patio. Everything we have ever eaten here was delicious. Favorites include the tomato and panzanella salad, Lasagna bolognese with bechamel, flour-less chocolate cake and the wine selection is great! The staff is extremely knowledgeable with the menu and wine selections. Worth every penny!

La Tavola is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Though it’s not always featured in the list of hot spots, this place provides consistently good food. It’s a solid choice. With a cozy, intimate atmosphere, nice lighting and good service, La Tavola is the perfect little date spot.

One of the best meals I’ve eaten since moving to Atlanta. Amazing food, perfect ambiance. Even with a packed restaurant it was quiet enough to talk, and our waitress was very attentive.

I have a new favorite restaurant in Atlanta! This place is fantastic. I got to try two different pasta dishes and they were both phenomenal; by far the best pasta I’ve ever had. The first was the Pizzoccheri, which is pasta with braised duck, Savoy cabbage, poppy seeds, vin cot to. The flavors were so rich and decadent, I’m wishing I could eat it again tonight. The other was the garganelli pasta off their pasta specials menu. I can’t even remember what exactly was in it except the sauce which was parmesan fondue (yum!). On Monday nights they have 4 pasta specials for only $10 each! I highly recommend checking it out, and when you make your reservation, ask to be seated in Tony’s section, he was our awesome waiter.
