The fiancee and I try to hit the Steakhouse at least once a year. It is expensive, but it truly is worth it. Expect to pay up to or over $100 a person. My fiancee and I got drinks, an appetizer, a steak for two, two sides and a (free) dessert for $280. (Which included a 30% tip because we know how to take care of serving staff!) Pro tip: tip well and EVERYONE takes care of you. We get more food, more drinks, better hotel rooms, free bottles of wine, and peace of mind by tipping serving staff the way they deserve. It is a very difficult job and they are extremely grateful when you treat them like humans. KR Steakhouse is AWESOME, and it is where we always choose to celebrate. We have never been disappointed.

We have dined at Chops, Bones, Capitol Grille, Prime, Morton’s, and New York Prime. This is the best steak in Atlanta. The Dry aged steak was buttery soft and perfectly seasoned. Though the sides are modest in size and pricey, they perfectly accented the meal. Service was attentive but not intrusive. A special night out destination for a couple, or a business destination.

I am a steak lover first and foremost and KRS never fails to satisfy.
ook some out of town friends for dinner Saturday night and they both were blown away. I got my usual, dry aged cowboy ribeye and my girlfriend got the filet (both medium rare). Perfectly cooked as always. Apps we got the lobster fritters (awesome), escargot (good).
Kevin Rathbun was at the restaurant that night and made rounds to the tables to check on patrons. You don’t see that much these days. He was super nice.

My wife and I had decided on going to Kevin Rathbun Steak for our wedding anniversary after hearing so many good things about the place. Let me say that this was without a doubt, one of THE best dining experiences we both have ever had. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and is located inside an old warehouse in the Inman Park area of Atlanta. Upon being seated the first thing we noticed that Mr. Rathbun himself was there this evening overseeing his kitchen with a diligent eye. I was a great pleasure to watch a true pro like him work. Tony, our server for the night, was absolutely impeccable. He made us feel right at home and proceeded to go over the menu and let us know about some specials of the evening. For an appetizer we decided on the Grilled ‘Thick Cut’ Bacon, House Cured with a Sriracha-Molasses sauce. Now, my wife and I had our first delectable bite and agreed that this was simply one or the most divine things we had ever tasted. Just truly amazing. It would be had to top this we thought. But this is a steakhouse and the steaks are the star of the show! For the main course we decided on the dry aged steak for 2. We couldn’t wait for the rest of the meal. Tony brought the steak out and it was HUGE! It was a perfectly cooked Porterhouse and melted in your mouth like butter. We both agreed we never had such a succulent steak in our lives. For sides we had the scalloped sweet potatoes with Gruyere cheese which was mouthwatering and some delicious onion rings with a house special dipping sauce. We finished up with a Pecan Praline Sundae which completed this unbelievably delicious meal. We will definitely be back soon and are planning on trying Kevin’s other places as well. Do yourselves a favor and go. NOW!
