2 years ago GPC merged with GSU, so any reviews on this location prior to August 2016 are referring to a college that is no longer, so it might be best to disregard those. That being said, I attended this school through dual-enrollment for the 2016-17 school year and it was fantastic. Yes, I can understand where some of the other reviews are coming from, the actual administrative and admissions offices of GSU’s perimeter college are a bit lacking, but you’ll find that at many colleges and universities, it takes forever for processes to happen. Even just getting UGA to process my transcript after GSU sent it to them took multiple emails, calls, and months. So please don’t give this college a bad rap just because it has to deal with long processing times like other colleges. My advice is look on their website to make sure their office is open, and just drive over there. It’s much easier to get things done that way.
As far as the school itself, it was definitely a community college vibe. My classes were filled with other high school students, recent high school grads, and adults from all walks of life. The professors made their syllabi very flexible for working adults and parents, often making exceptions that you would never see at a “traditional” college. The school buildings are very nice, one of which is brand new to the merge, another is a bit older as it was originally GPC, but it has been renovated on the inside. The Alpharetta location has it’s own library where you can request books from any GSU campus as well as multiple student common areas, with microwaves and vending machines. This location also has a mini bookstore of sorts where you can buy GSU merchandise as well as books and school supplies. GSUPC also has a free tutoring center for students, which I found to be very helpful. I’d highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to further their education. It is fantastic as a stepping stone to then transfer to another school, as all of your credits are transferable to any other public school in Georgia per the University System of Georgia code. All of the professors that teach here are up to GSU standards, and I loved every lecture.

Campus Resources: Very resourceful and welcoming to all!

Tuition & Financial Aid: its very quick and straight to the point! however when it comes down to talking about tuition fees some of them does not seem necessary; for example, I don’t need to be charged for things like sport fees(if your not taking sports) and room/board fees(if you aren’t staying on campus). Its quite ridiculous.

Everyone I’ve spoken with has been extremely helpful. The only thing I don’t like is sometimes when I call, I can’t get through because there are so many calls, so the voice automated service will advise to call back. Other than that, i’m excited about starting there!
