Garibaldi Café is an elegant and romantic eatery offering upscale Italian cuisine and has been a staple on the Savannah dining scene for many years. Old World elegance provides the perfect backdrop to this upscale Italian restaurant which has been a staple on the Savannah scene for more than 30 years.

Garibaldi Café offers refined Italian dishes with seafood leanings are showcased in a romantic former firehouse.The romantic eatery – tucked into the 19th-century Germania Fire House – dishes up delicious Italian cucina such as traditional lasagna, spaghetti, chicken parmigiana and linguine primavera.

Also highlighted is an ample selection of seafood creations such as the popular crispy scored flounder with apricot shallot and stuffed salmon with lump crab in a rich cream sauce. A raw and steam bar offers a host of selections starring oysters, shrimp, Dungeness crab and lobster cocktail.

The atmosphere is great. Had the crispy flounder…..very big portion Also had the spaghetti with meat marinara……. Very good with plenty of meat. Service……great. We didn’t quite finish all of our food so the manager came over twice just to make sure we were happy..since we didn’t finish all of the entrees ………very impressed
Be sure and get a booth….Definitely be going back.

Great food, fantastic service. The menu is mostly Italian but they play on their location near the coast to offer some unique seafood options which is really cool. I’ve had a number of their pasta dishes and they are all top notch, but my favorite by far is the lasagna. It among the best I’ve ever had! Servers are knowledgeable, friendly, and take great care of you while you’re there. The real wow factor though is the restaurant itself. It is absolutely gorgeous…like something you would expect to see in Paris with the attention to detail in its finishes and decorations. Long story short, this is a Savannah experience worth having.

This place is AMAZING if you love Italian, seafood, or both!The server was very attentive without being obtrusive and we didn’t wait too long for our food. I highly recommend this place for romantic dinners or families with children above toddler age. The decor is very beautiful; the light, bright atmosphere with the wall to ceiling mirrors is upstairs where we dined and the dimmer, more romantic “cigar bar” feel is downstairs. I would highly recommend getting a reservation because they seem to get very busy on the weekends (we dined on a Sunday). We had the cheese plate with mango chutney and dates which was divine. For dinner, my entree was the Carbonara with added chicken and it.was.the.best.I.have.ever.had. Something about the sauce was amazing. My dining companion had the Saffron Seafood Pot and for someone who doesn’t normally eat seafood, they surely devoured it with alacrity. The mixed drinks are STRONG, so lightweights beware- very good as well.
