My husband took me to Frog Hollow for my birthday. We were quite impressed with the atmosphere and the service. Our waitresses were really helpful and accommodating. Our food was so good! I ordered the butcher steak with a side of fries. The portion was more like, ‘would you like steak with your fries?’, it was a heaping amount of fries. They were really good! The steak was amazing as well, and the portion of that was quite filling by itself. My husband ordered the crab cake, which was 90% crab meat, very little filler. It was good too. For dessert, we got a vanilla creme brulee. It was all very yummy and we can’t wait to go back!

I started with their signature drink, Tee Hive! Awesome. Light and refreshing.
Ordered a bottle of Peju wine. Their prices are very fair for the bottle. Great wine list too.
Started with a delicious kale, caesar salad. Fresh!!!!
Farm to table concept. (Support local farmers.)
I ordered the soft shell crab special.
Lightly battered, delicious and perfect!
I also see the steak going by and they also look outstanding.
Great crowd here for The Masters but I would definitely come back.
Beautiful interior for groups or date night. My server was outstanding.

In two years since moving from Atlanta, Frog Hollow has been our favorite local restaurant. I’ve had the majority of non-salad small plates, and some highlights are the fois gras with blackberry reduction, the mussels and the off-menu oysters.
While you can’t go wrong with any of the meals, my favorites have been (in order, but note that the menu changes and some items are seasonal):
#1: the rabbit’s leg, duck sausage and pork belly Brunswick stew; I can’t think of a better stew, soup, or leg of anything that I’ve had at a restaurant;
#2: braised and glazed bone-in pork shoulder; the most tender shoulder not named barbecue;
#3: cowgirl ribeye; really nicely cooked cut of meat;
#4: shrimp and grits; really good take on this classic dish;

Wow! You have to try this amazing restaurant right here in Augusta, GA. I went here for my birthday and we had this amazing server name Alyssa, and she gave us 5 Star Top of the Line Service, and I think she may have even given me a dessert for free because it was my birthday, talk about a great server! There desserts are amazing too. I went with my girlfriend and we shared the andouille sausage small plate which was so elevated, refined, delicious, and classy, then of course we shared the crab cakes which were on special, and it was the most amazing crab cake I’ve ever had, as it was nothing but 8 ounces of pure delicious crab meat and absolutely no filler. Incredible. Of course all our dishes were prepared perfectly. We also shared the Pork Shoulder dish that comes with greens and mac and cheese lasagna, and the Pork was so juicy, well cooked and seasoned, and the hint of a sweet and smokey BBQ sauce just elevated it over the top, and of course the presentation of all the dishes were so classy and sophisticated, so beautiful you hardly wanted to dig in and eat them. We tried the Creme Brulee and Cheese cake for desert and both were perfect and delicious, exactly what you’d expect out of such a fine restaurant. Amazing service, 5 Star Food and Service, and the Food will actually simply change your life forever! You have to go to the restaurant. Also, the ambiance, decor, and environment are so Southern, quaint, classy. A must go in Augusta fine dining.

I took my wife here for our 3rd anniversary, and it was better than I expected. The atmosphere was very romantic, and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. We really appreciate how the food is all locally grown and harvested. It was very fresh and extremely flavorful. My wife’s shrimp & grits was truly phenomenal! I highly recommend this place! It’s a “must” while you’re in the Augusta area.
