This hidden gem in Lawrenceville is the best Mexican food in Gwinnett county hands down! Fresh tasty food, filling portions and good service is what you can expect to find here. And you can tell ownership cares, as you can find the owner making the rounds greeting the customers. For starters, they have some of the best chips and salsa I’ve ever had. In particular the darker, spicier salsa is my favorite. Its so good, if not careful I can get filled up on chips and salsa alone before getting my food. I work close by, so I’ve been here for lunch many times and for dinner a few times as well. I’ve rarely been disappointed by any dish I’ve had here. I love the chorizo con queso!
The fajitas are good, the Mexican nachos (I had it with chorizo) are a pleasant surprise, and the pollo ranchero, tequila lime chicken and milanesa are a few of my favorite dishes there. And I do believe they have updated their menu, as on their specials section I see some things I have yet to see from other Mexican restaurants, giving me more reason to come back for dinner in the future. Everything is just flat out delicious!! I highly recommend this place if you live in the area, or heck if you live anywhere in the county within reasonable driving distance. Its worth the trip!! 5 stars!!

The food, service and atmosphere were all very good. Portions were large and everyone enjoyed their meals. (Chicken nachos, burrito del mar, and pork tacos). Chips and salsa were above average and the quest and guac were also good.

We eat here so often I think they would recognize us by now! Ha ha but I also think half of metro Atlanta are regulars here… And there is a reason for that. Margaritas are on point. Get a pitcher or maybe two! I like the 2 different salsas since my husband and I have different tastes. Every time I come I try to get something different and I have not been disappointed!! My husband always gets items from the ala carte menu, which I think is boring, but he loves it. My personal favorites are the Frieda & Diego, civeche tostada, and tacos gueria –(spelled incorrectly.)

I’ve been eating here for about a year and it keeps getting better! The chorizo is the best I’ve ever had. Order a side of it and mix it with the cheese dip for pure awesome!
