FishTales

Fishtales resembles a typical Florida fish house from the 1950s. The décor is typical, and that’s where typical ends. The fish and seafood are incredibly fresh, delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The oyster bar is exactly that, an old fashioned oyster bar with phenomenal oysters shucked for you as you sit and good draft beer. The entrees come in amazingly large portions and are expertly prepared. Wait staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and very friendly.

A family type atmosphere pervades. Respectable wine and beer list. Hush puppies are terrific, careful to not fill up! Prices are reasonable-not economical but won’t break the bank.
The quantity and quality of the food unquestionably justify the prices.

Lunch menu is much less expensive but probably not as vast as the dinner menu. Would imagine, however, that the food is just as good. There are landlubber items on both the lunch and dinner menu. Haven’t tried them though and probably won’t!

We plan on making Fishtales a regular dine out experience. Located on GA 92 just off the North Expressway in Griffin, it’s easy to find. Will definitely enjoy many meals there in the future and look forward to an oyster bust very soon.
