Since our opening on November 1991 in the heart of Buford Hw, Taco Veloz has been offering the best of traditional and popular Mexican street food. Taco Veloz was accepted from day one by the community. With all the textures, colors, flavors and smells , our food is irresistible for any food pallet. Every item is made with the highest quality and freshest ingredients.

Long lines flooded the taqueria to get a taste of our delicious tacos, tortas, burritos, nachos and aguas frescas. This is what has motivated us to continue to grow the business and provide our products all around Atlanta. All of our team members are friendly and willing to accomodate for our costumers. This along with our food has helped us win various awards throughout the years.

We have won countless awards and have been recognized by National and local celebrities like Anthony Bourdain, Steak Shapiro, as well as being featured on the travelm channel, Atlanta eats. Taco Veloz was voted ” Best tacos in Atlanta” ,”Taco with the most punch” in the AJC in May 2 , 2016. We continue to work hard every day to mantain the number one Taqueria in Atlanta.

This is a fast food Mexican restaurant. I ordered two tacos (Al Pasteur & Chicken). Both were excellent! I was given both red and green sauce (I didn’t have to ask!) Both were very spicy and tasty. I would definitely go this restaurant again when I’m in Gainesville. This place is a super deal. Good food for a very good price!

Good Food at Informal Restaurant
I went here with my mother today and we got 3 tacos to share (Carne Asada, chicken, and pastor). We also got chips & salsa (actually Pico de Gallo). We got Agua del Grifo to drink. Everything was very good. Eating is on picnic tables outside and the bathroom is in the back of the building. Good service and yummy food. Would recommend, but note it is not a formal restaurant!

Please don’t let the “tired” interior turn you off. ALL of the Taco Veloz locations I’ve been to have amazing, authentic, HOMEMADE food with and exceptionally friendly and courteous staff. If you want real Mexican food–like what you might only find in El Paso or some small town in Mexico please visit any of their locations.

Second time here… delicious fresh food!
Amazing. Check your ego at the door and come for an adventure i n good food. The first time I had the beef tongue taco and a Chili Relleno taco… both great. the chips are authentic Mexicano! Tonight i had a quesadilla and it was delish. My friend had a burrito that knocked our socks off. enjoy this treasure. I’ll be back!

Tacos to go
Tacos Veloz has a great menu and drive thru tacos to-go with great tasting food. They even come out to your car to take orders in advance when the cue is long. The business is run very well and the food is great.
