El Ranchero has been delivering authentic Mexican food for over 25 years. The Aguirre Family has over 30 years’ experience in The Atlanta Area and is passionate about providing the best service and quality. After many years’ of loyal service to the Aguirre family, I now own and manage El Ranchero, Cobb, the first Ranchero restaurant established in the Atlanta area.

This place is a favorite for my wife and me. We love the carne asada tacos. The prices are good, the portions are large, and the staff are very friendly. We originally tried it because it is so close to Life University, but we’ve quickly adopted it into one of our regular eat-out spots.

It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the food is the best Mex in Cobb (maybe the whole metro area). I brought my good friend (who lives in Mexico and has gourmet tastes) to sample the place over 15 years ago and she raved about the quality for the money. I can tell her that nothing has changed since. Try the spicy pork special … you won’t believe the intensity. Another top dish is Chili Colorado (meaning red) beef … and just a basic enchilada plate w/ rice & beans will do nicely.

I visit at lunch and for as long as I can remember, I always get grilled chicken nachos. They are the best and no other Mexican restaurant can top them. The salsa is great as well and the chips are always fresh.

Good food, great margaritas to consistent service. We go there at least once a week. The crowd is composed of young and old alike. Simple Mexican food served hot and fresh made. Simple consistent formula that keeps up coming back.
