East Side is THE BEST vet I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The staff is sweet, patient and attentive. The doctors take the time to listen to you, to get to know your fur-babies and to really help you solve any issue – major or minor. We’ve used them for annual check-ups, allergy issues, and even an emergency after our medium-sized dog was attacked by a stray and EVERY visit was reasonably priced and left us (and the kiddos) happier than when we went in.
They do allow for appointments, which is a huge plus!

Took my dog here after getting nowhere at the emergency clinic. Dr. Marlay and his staff showed more compassion in 15 minutes than the emergency clinic did in TWO DAYS. I will take any and ALL animals I get from now on to Dr. Marlay and Dr. Martin

We recently moved to Savannah and brought my 19-year-old cat along for our 3000 mile relocation. She was losing weight and getting sick and I was alarmed at the reply of another vet’s office whom I phoned.
Without seeing my kitty he was ready to “end her suffering” even though I explained that my previous vet said she was in very good shape. I took my old lady to Eastside where I received detailed information and advice about her condition.
Essentially I needed only to change her food back to what I gave her before we moved. I told my husband that if they treated people, this would definitely be my first choice of health care providers.

I started to write my experience at the “emergency place” last night before this morning visit to Eastside. I will just sum it up by saying , I was very worried about my 13 yr old poodle and prepared for the worst when I was told all sorts of negative and scary possibilities and advised to follow up with my vet.
My vet is 500 miles away.So I was forced to locate one in the area ASAP. Dr. Marlay not only gave me a great consultation, but saved me money by not repeating test or expensive new test. He was a very compassionate and kind person and you can tell he loves animals. I have found my new vet! The outcome is pending but I know I made the best choice for my furry child.
